First game in a while I'm not bothering to follow. It's going to be a horrible match and no joy will come from it, so best to just ignore it.
You’ve been damaged by the Villa of old. The pain is real.

Just arrived in Brum and feeling confident. If we see Pau on that team sheet I think we can go in with some optimism here.

If anything, I’m just amused by it… may indicate that we are perceived as a threat of sorts… which is pleasing…
With Klopp leaving… Liverpool have to get their next appointment right or risk falling behind and losing out to teams around them… key players may leave also…
We genuinely have one of the very best managers around and in this league… why can’t we aim high?
Definitely has the ‘mind games’ feel about it.

Carragher talking balls. Whatever next, a Sunday following a Saturday?

Pau has been excellent this season, but the more games he misses the more apparent it becomes that his passing ability is one of the defining parts of our system.

30 years I’ve (potentially) been waiting for this draw.

When he doesn't start I expect us to struggle
Yep. His lack of fitness and injuries have coincided with a downturn in levels for us. His passing has taken us to a different level.

Been a month and a bit now since it was said the new badge was coming within 2 weeks. Quite the delay.
Had the same thought today. Shambolic really. All very well to have delays behind the scenes, but to tell the public it will happen and then not do it without explanation is just another notch in the “Heck isn’t up to it” category.

Is or are, I just hope one day it doesn’t turn to ‘were’.

Please, oh please, do not let Jack Woodward be the voice of this. Our commercial revenues would shrink.

I must say I didn’t realise Everton had tailed off so badly in recent weeks. I feel more confident with Pau, Kamara and Tielemans all back in.

Given how Emery not wanting to be away from his son contributed to him not going to Newcastle, this might be part of Villa’s plan to keep Unai as happy as possible. In that case I’m all for a 5 year contract for the lad.

We don’t even own Villa Park anymore, but don’t get the Wolves lot started there.

I’m pretty sure this all ends with Man Utd away in the fourth round. Deja vous or something.

The goal against Arsenal not even nominated for Decembers goal of the month. Wtf. 10 players involved in the build up.from back to front it was perfect.
Were Aston Villa, we could win the league with 10,000 goals and still end up not nominated for any awards.

It’s a weird feeling for us to have finally got things so right on the pitch, but to get branding and corporate things so very very wrong.

A great night for us so far, following a couple of bad ones.
Agree, though West Ham now in the picture.

Need a comfortable win to settle the nerves. We’ve still got a very healthy gap to 6th, that’s all that matters.
-
I think we’ve just hit a wall. No need to panic, we’re still 9 points clear of 6th.
-
We will still win the league (maybe).

The will lead to some (more) pretty serious price gouging in the summer as the demand for tickets continues to outstrip supply. I suspect that thinking has come into play.

The experienced Villa fan in me says this will be a classic Villa 0-0.

Got to say from my perspective at least, I am really glad that I’ve not heard Emery making excuses about potential results because of injuries.
His predecessor would have told us what an uphill task Fulham is because of them.
