Judging from some of the Villa TV videos it looks like Duran is likely to play some part in this.
I would take a scrappy 1-0 already, which should see us into the top half.- 1

The fine line between world class and madness is back. The most entertaining player on our books.

I’m not sure what Purslow has done wrong other than the Gerrard appointment - agree that’s a big mark against him, but what owners have never made a dud appointment.
The man is probably busier with business related to the expansion.

Didn’t he used to play for Spurs?

Having seen him a few times Im not convinced he will ever be a top half of the premier league player. But he is a very capable championship level player. He will be playing in the championship next year, Argyle or not.

The “who’s to say Gerrard wouldn’t have got those results” crowd in the media seem to have gone a bit quiet.
To me Emery is Smith 2.0, very likeable guy, positive about the club, and a tactical step up on the great work Smith did. I try not think where we would be if we had got Emery after Smith now and not wasted that year. -
His role as sweeper yesterday was superb, gives the defence the confidence to play 15yards further forward than with Olsen. Masterclass.

Just seen match report which says " Villa grind out 1 - 0 winn to climb 11 points above relegation zone ". Lol
I'm not for the conspiracy theories but this is hilarious.
We are closer to a Champions League place than we are relegation ffs
100% this. I spoke to my non-Villa friend last night and his reaction was “that’s Villa safe”. We are sneaking under the radar, the speed we are picking up points, we could be 7th in a fortnight.

This winning most weeks thing could catch on. I like it.

Ings out for £15m and Dembele in for potentially £5m would represent excellent business, with Duran picking it up for the next couple of season.
-
Would want £15m+ for him. I think selling him at that price would be good for all parties, especially if it allows us to get other deals over the line.
-
I’m suspecting he will be on the bench for Southampton. Sounds like we have recalled him from international duty.

Player comes and takes the money and doesnt play = mercenary
Player wants to play but not given a chance = spoiled brat
Almost like players cant win
I do feel a bit sorry for him. He was signed with a view to playing in the championship when he joined, it was only that incredible 10 game run that put pay to that plan.

Goodbye Freddie. I will miss your passive aggressive social media posts about lack of game time, despite being far inferior to our other options.

Wow and you’re still alive. That’s impressive. I daren’t ask the nature of the work.
Haha, probably the least dangerous work going. I was working for a UK university.
I do think Falcao and James Rodriguez were the first of, what will become, a long list of Colombian international superstars moving forwards though. Hopefully Durán is part of that!

Upgrade on Olssen
I’m not sure he’d come back, especially now we are out of the cups. Shame too as he was doing okay before that awful injury. That said, silver lining was Martinez coming in as a result.

Hails from Columbia's second city, Medelin. Like JPA. Got a good feeling about this one.
I visited Colombia for work a few years ago, namely Bogotá and Medellin. I am enjoying how some people interpret it a huge coincidence JPA is from the same place. Medellin has a population twice the size of the greater Birmingham area combined.
That said, I want to take it as a good omen.
He definitely looks a great prospect at 19.

A tad disappointed that we haven’t won today.

Has this flight arrived yet - it’s 21:42 now? Any sign of who is on the flight?
I’m still feeling burned from the Ole Gunnar fiasco with plane tracking, so I am refusing to get caught up in it.
I think we will sign him, and he will conclude our business for the window unless Ings and Coutinho leave. -

That fee doesn’t strike me as a fee we would pay for someone to go straight out on loan. I think he will be getting game time.

Grealish back at £45M or Trossard at £30m which would you take ?
I’d have Mike Lubb for £45m, but I think City will start to get a tune out of him soon and wouldn’t sell.

I do not miss the struggles of then! Reina did a solid job at least for us.
I can see the summer being quite a turnaround, and would like to see us in for a couple of Chelsea’s inevitable sales.

Emery’s ppg ratio would have us finish on about 81 points currently. My expectation levels for next season are set.

There is no way this guy is 19 years old. Good introduction, but best not to get carried away.
