It depends on what means testing is done, how aggressive it is.

Yeah it depends on what level the means testing comes in at. If its £100k private pension then I don't think there would be a huge backlash from the masses.. £25k? Rioting I'd hope.

I was getting my stuff out of the locker in the gym, a bloke saw me in my Villa shirt and started talking football, he's a Palace fan etc etc, then halfway through the conversation he pulls his pants down.  I mean I get that he's got to get changed but does he have to pick thay particular moment to do that?  I hate it when people are walking round with their cocks out in the changing room.

Maybe he wanted to bum you.

The car has warranty with a company who strongly recommend Halfords Autocentres. Called in last Monday, told them the issue but earliest they could see it was today. They wanted it at 8:30am. Dropped it off and heard nothing so I just gave them a call. In the 6 hours they’ve had it they have confirmed that the engine mount needs replacing and are now trying to source one. FFS! I told them this last week, and it only takes a 5 minute look for a mechanic to confirm.

They all seem to do this now. If I've taken it to a garage, I want it fixed.

A while back, dropped off my car with a suspected broken spring - told the guy what I thought it was.

"Leave it with me". Rings me up six hours later - "Yeah it was the spring. Do you want me to order one?" YES!  "I can't fit you in again until three weeks Tuesday" :(

It was the biggest thing that has ever been on TV in my lifetime and probably ever will be.

There was a workplace ‘Game of Thrones’ WhatsApp group to discuss it.

Prior to the final season, we had that predictions sheet that over 80% of my office filled in. Results were then logged on a whiteboard weekly. There was a prize for the winner.

On Tuesday mornings, people came into work early to discuss it. Even with staff coming in early, no work would get done until about 10am.

I knew lots of people who would avoid internet and entertainment channels between 2am and 10pm every Monday so they didn’t get spoilers from the 2am American airing until the Sky airing in the UK at 10pm.

This was happening in offices and countries all throughout the western world. You simply had to be part of it to understand it.

Obviously not a lot of work being done in those offices ;)

It passed me by, and no-one at my workplace was that massively into it (publicly, at least). Obviously I have heard of it, but never fancied it.

I'd say Breaking Bad/24/Lost were all mentioned more at my workplace.

Appreciate that is just my experience! We're just a bunch of bankers anyway :)

The next two week's of work are only 4 days long each, as there's a 4 day weekend in the middle.

I've just had three 4 days weeks before this. At least with Easter, I wont come back to a shitload of work from my days off!

It is quarter end though so expecting next week to be very busy.

I would say he's pretty **** stupid to say it in front of his partner.

Thats the biggest mistake. He just have just said "of course" and never mentioned it again! :)

As @foreveryoung says, it is complex. From what age the child was when you got involved, whether their biological Dad was on the scene and various other factors.

You can say that about every England team/manager in history. England squads have failed spectacularly in past years. Group stage exits, limp knockout exits. Southgate hasnt won anything obviously but his record in tournaments is light years ahead of everyone outside of Alf Ramsey.

People overrate this England squad. The defence and goalkeeper are ok, that's it. For all the talk about the attacking options and world class players England have, yeah so do other teams, and more of them.

I agree about previous England managers - its a litany of failure. We're talking about Southgate though, and he has even taken the joy out of supporting them at big competitions now. IMO of course.

Brilliant day. I was there with my Dad (as I was at the 94 one). Felt different though, as we were the favourites and that made me a little more nervous.

Shouldn't have been though - absolutely battered them!

Lovely Savo goal. He took a huge amount of stick in his first season, most of it completely unjustified.

Even though he's done a good job. And he has, people saying otherwise are living in a dreamworld with a clear agenda. But having said that, I cant stand the man. Even ignoring his Villa hatred, his banal interviews, company man persona and his charisma vacuum personality make him impossible to like.

I can't agree. Whenever we have played a good opponent, our record is terrible. Both in competitive games and friendlies. 6 wins in 27 games against teams ranked in the top ten when we played them.

The natural talent of the squad steamrolls poor nations, but there is no tactical nous offered when we play the better teams. Thats why we always look devoid of ideas.

  11. If i'm in a proper pub i'll always have a cask over keg. However, lots of places don't do cask, or will just do a token 1 or 2 ales, which aren't kept well.

For home-buying, i prefer the smaller cans over glass bottles. Just purely over aesthetics. Taste wise, can't really tell.

Different with soft drinks though - will generally avoid plastic bottles, as it seems a lot worse. Cans in the main as you can't really get glass bottles now (apart from Coke)

Goal machine Jordan Bowery playing live on sky right now for Mansfield. No idea Mansfield is currently top of League 2.

Oh and first action of Bowery, 25 yards shot just shaved passed the corner flag for a GK

He's managed to carve out a decent career.

Lewis Brunt scored for the Stags - ex Villa yoof.
