  1. Article this morning on the BBC about the disappearance of Little Chef's from our roads. They mentioned their "famous" Olympic Brekkie.

Looking at it, if they'd invested in ramekins, thy might still be trading.

I would agree with this if it wasnt for the looming PSR issue we clearly have.

Champions League qualification (imo) is essential for revenue building, keeping our best players, which then means being able to launch a similiar challenge for top 4 next season.

Fail to qualify this year and we will certainly lose 1 if not 2 of our key players, whilst other teams strengthen.

It would be devastating not to qualify after the season we've had and would leave so much uncertainty aboit the squad for next year

Wouldn't we have a PSR problem anyway? Talk of Newcastle having to sell to balance the books.

What does it come down to in pounds and pence, the difference between the champions league and the europa league? Genuine question, as i'm not sure?

I think most teams needs to sell players and balance books... even Man City (Cole Palmer)

He’s throwing peanuts to the monkeys. If they’re so committed, then why haven’t they even bought the total shareholding of the Chinese yet. He’s playing them for saps.

The hedge fund he runs has currently lost a lot of its value due to bad investments (Hertz and the Tesla position). He may talk a good game, but the proof is in the pudding.

Let them have their fun, it'll probably all end in tears. I'll be very surprised if the 'Wembley of the Midlands' is ever built. Unless they get outside investors, I can't see where the money is coming from. The value of the hedge fund he manages is less than half of Sawris' personal wealth, and I can't see us throwing money at a new stadium. Football isn't known as a profitable endeavour. Its a money pit.

    I'm not rattled.

    Mate.

We get so many of these on the local fb group.

I do laugh at the ones where people are kicking off because their takeaway has been delivered to someone else. Imagine opening the door and some bloke hands you a curry or a chinese.

    “thanks mate”

It’s my lucky day. Free take-away roulette.

Someone has taken my Uber Eats order.

    Cheers, son's crying. Nice one.

Posting on FB local groups is the preserve of attention seeking 'huns' and karens.

That sound like a lovely breakfast, but what are your views on a Full English Breakfast?

Mushrooms and black pudding or GTFO.

'Rooms and Pud are merely accoutrements to a breakfast and not part of the core ingredients.

What is the correct proportion of items on a good Full English?

How many sausage/bacon/egg/hash browns and that?

    Good question, thanks for asking.

2 sausage, 2 egg, 2 bacon, 2 hashers, 2 slices of toast, 2 slices of lightly friend bread (sometimes), a ramekin of non sloppy beans and maybe a grilled tomato for garnish.

Mushrooms and black pudding in the bin.

Hot drink and glass of juice.

Usually followed by a big poo about 30 mins later.

Cured meat - I ain't a bad home chef, but I've never got my head round how cured meat works. Sometimes I wake up in the night and think about Prosciutto, how did it get there, why does it last so long? Is it okay to eat? Does it even go off?

Salt is the answer I think. It removes the moisture therefore slowing down any deterioration.

I'm sure ships used to sail with barrels of salted meats (kw) that would last ages.

    Correct.

It didn't even run to the nearest human to summon health.   It also went "missing" shortly afterwards.  Nor has it denied the killing.

I saw it a few weeks afterwards wagging it's tail.

    Guilty as hell.

    Woof justice.

    Never buy a car in...

    ...

    :(

Probably not wrong though. Never buy a car from the West Mids or West Yorks according to the internet. Plus buying a cheap Range Rover as well... you might as well throw fireworks in your own face.
