  1. this while we'd all like 4th, we dont EXPECT it. what we EXPECT is to try our best for it from the players to the manager, and that includes not just sticking to the same thing over and over and over and over again If people don't expect it then why does everyone talk like finishing outside the top 4 would be a failure as a season then? What's not working? We haven't been winning loads of games but not losing games has kept us in the challenge for 4th place. I doubt had we tried a few things on here, lost more games and were sitting behind everton with blues catching us that many would be saying well it's been a good season and at least MON tried a few different things. MON wants to challenge for 4th spot, just because we aren't in 4th spot at this exact moment doesn't mean it's not working. We are still in the race. Spurs are in 4th spot at the moment but it doesn't mean they will stay there and it also doesn't mean that Harry is a failure and should have tried different things if they end up 5th or 6th. I suspect its just that it feels very much like last season repeated again - the football hasn't improved, we look like trailing off at the important end of the season, players look tired and it looks like Everton will come past us again. Lessons haven't been learnt from last year and I think that is frustrating alot of people.
  2. I voted 'yes' as I believe getting rid of a manager whilst a season is under way is something you only do if you really have too. However, I stated in the first one of these polls back in August last year, that I needed to see that MON had the ability to get the team playing good football and that he had more than 'plan A' tactic-wise in order that I could believe he has the skills to move us on. At the moment I remain unconvinced. I personally think we will get knocked out of the FA Cup by Chelsea and will finish 8th in the league... it will be interesting to see how Randy, and MON himself, reacts to this.
  3. Ahhh... but he was moving at least! Thats an improvement on Heskey already!
  4. Only problem is that Everton are now snapping at our heals! As I said after the Wolves game I feel we are far more likely to finish 8th than 4th.. sadly it looks more and more likely with each passing game
  5. Well I never! A draw! Surely not! sigh...
  6. My Predicto-meter says a draw... a 2-2! Never doubt the machine!
  7. Yep they ain't gonna get it either :winkold:
  8. And more importantly for a striker, scoring 2 goals!
  9. Maybe not, but we just made it ALOT harder for ourselves! And it isn't just the 2 points dropped, its the fact we look like a useless Championship team at times and never control a game or even half a game of football. The truth is we are just not good enough for 4th place
  10. Well thats any chance of 4th up the swanny and frankly if you can't beat Wolves on your own turf then you don't deserve it either. Absolute rubbish management of Subs and game plan by MON, I have serious doubts this is a man who will ever lead us to the promised land.
  11. Change his name to Emile, and fall over a lot. Be a striker who is ok in defence but offers zero goal threat?
  12. Now get the fecking winner! (and apologies to Sidwell, well done sir!)
  13. Oh great, he is going to make all the difference! Fantastic Choice MON! I applaud you :x
  14. Is there a possibility of getting our money back on heskey under the Sale of Goods act? Striker my shiney metal arse!
  15. Hahahahahaha... that is not in the game plan
  16. Grow some balls MON! GROW SOME BALLS! Make some fecking chnages!
  17. Get Delf on now... they need to press and he may not be Gabby quick but he could still find space in behind i'm sure!
  18. Thats because we were playing Man Utd in the final... we're 'only' playing Reading today!
  19. WHy did they even bother going down to Reading if they were going to put in as little effort as this? Its just **** embarrassing
  20. That is your opinion, however, I think you are wrong. Yes Man Utd were the better team but we were hardly outplayed. For all their possesion they needed a slip from Dunne in order to score a goal. A top striker next to Gabby and we will continue to rise and improve. Onwards and Upwards!
  21. On a seperate note how the hell did that linesman give offside against Dunne near the end? Thats possibly an even worse decision than Dowd's all though not as game changing. Does he not know the offside law?
  22. Played ok. Some better than others and certainly weren't outclassed. We lack a striker to partner Gabby but then we knew that already... Heskey, for all his hard work, is no goal threat. Voted Gabby my MOM as I felt he held the ball up well and caused them problems, Petrov was a close second. Phil Dowd is, and i'm sure we can all agree on this, a shit ref.
  23. Phil Dowd. Phil **** Dowd. **** Phil Dowd. word removed.
