  1. A wild wild guess here, and yes hungover so call me completely mad but.... With Randy's apparent friendship with Klinsmann, and talk of Randy looking at a young coach/manager who will continue the ethos of bringing youth through and build something with, and that he is flying to europe today, then maybe, just maybe he has been thinking and had word from Klinsmann that a friend of his may be available and willing for a new challenge. That man? Joachim Loew. Just a wild guess too.
  2. Immature? Think you mean premature :winkold: OOps! haha
  3. VERY PREmature to want Kev Mc to get the job full time after one game. What I will say is in this one game he had Villa playing a far more 'Brian Clough' style than the man who has been compared to Cloughie ever did get us to play.
  4. Was you watching Ian Wright? Terry Venables? And all you over media whores and pals of O'Neill who were spouting utter bollocks about Villa being a club in turmoil, a club where the players and dressing room was split? That we'd do nothing and decline without MON? Well were you? WERE YOU?!?

And Petrov didn't tire after an hour today! See what happens when the ball does the work and we pass the thing, rather than hoof it and chase constantly. We actually kept possession today! A big well done to everyone from the players to McDonald.

I've been banging on about it for 18 months now that this team, this squad, IS good enough IF they are allowed to play football and not HOOF HOOF HOOF!!! Brilliant, an absolute joy to watch. And Marc Albrighton gets an 11. everyone else a 10. Special mention to Ciaran Clark. Never put a foot wrong today in only his 2nd premiership start. And well done to Blackpool! Chuffed for them.
  7. Oi oi Redknapp is coming up on SSN, so we're bound to hear who the new manager will be as that melted face gobshite will talk about all and sundry!
  8. I'll donate a tenner to VT if it's Bradley. Not a cat in hells chance. The board know they have to get a manager in who they feel will at least keep us up there challenging for a european spot, if not move us on. Bradley to me, whilst being impressive in basically knock out games, has no real impressive CV when it comes to a long slog of a season.
  9. I STILL wouldn't dismiss Moyes just yet. 5 days... I mean a week, is a long time in football.
  10. Wenger had managed in France before going to Japan and well, monaco aren't exactly one of the smaller sides (from a football sense) in France are they? Unknown in the UK maybe, but not unkown in european football. So much
  11. Gotta be a wind up right? Coach of the current world and european champions interested in Villa? If true then **** me that's one major step up from O'Neill!
  12. Name names. Come on Rob, hound the **** out!!!
  13. Nice to see a sensible post on here today..... what a track record he has and wants to come to England! Absolutely. I'm putting a punt on him at the bookies tomorrow. Bet the odds are great at the moment on him too!
  14. What odds can you get on Magath then? May put a punt on, you never know. We are looking apparently in Germany and the guy wants to come to England.
  15. Hitzfeld is very close friends with Fergie and I think he told Fergie that he wouldn't want to take on United after Fergie. Moyes will take over from Taggart. As for us, I think Klinsmann would see us as a way of proving that he isn't out of his depth in club management. I mean, it's a daunting task for your first club managerial role, 1. taking over at the biggest club in German football and 2. taking over from a football managerial legend in Hitzfeld. However, I don't see him being Villa boss. Purely because if he is friends with Randy, as we are led to believe, then I think working for Randy becomes a big risk and potentially puts a strain on their friendship. Especially should things not go to plan.
  16. General, I mentioned Manchester City's website last season being the blueprint of how our site should look. Having looked at the new site redesign I see that the club have followed that blueprint. Well done to all involved!
  17. You get my vote Dom! Then you can persuade the board to go with my kit designs! hahaha!
  18. If he can just be allowed to focus on the football side of things then Sven would do well I think. It's not that long ago that Chelsea and Manure were both sniffing after Sven, and to be honest he did a decent job in his one and only season at city finishing 9th with a practically new team (**** needed it after Stuart 'piss poor' Pearce!). Especially when you consider that MON finished lower with a more settled team in his first season. The problem with Sven is all the bloody baggage he brings!
  19. In an ideal world.. David Moyes. I've stated quite a few times that I'm a fan of the man. Shit football? Whenever I've seen Everton at VP under him they've played cracking football. Good movement with them pinging the ball about. It seems to me he's a manager who plays to his players strengths and tactically is aware and also isn't afraid to make subs! However, Moyes joining Villa is pure dreamland. He's earmarked for Old Trafford, Fergie has as much as told folks that Moyes is his recomendation to the Manure board.
  20. Thanks General for being a calm head in a sh*tstorm of a day!
  21. No thanks, ruining the England U21's imo, the last tournament for instance. He was insistent on filling the team which as many big players as possible, playing a long ball playing style and offering little tactical nouse. **** me a ready made replacement for O'Neill then! I say get our very own Dom Wren in as manager!
  22. Just looking on oddschecker and I notice that Hitzfeld is sneaking up that list of names. *prays there's truth in this.*
  23. Heskey AND Sidwell scoring?! Now I know this is Inception. Surely this is a dream in a dream? haha
  24. Once again Albrighton showing that he'll be the next one Citehh sniff after.... I mean showing he's a class act!
  25. Albrighton was outstanding last preseason to deserve his chance yet we hardly saw him at all during the season.
