    yes but he's played left back his whole career.....im not out for an arguement, but it wouldnt make sense to bring him in for his swansong at rightback!?

    so can mellberg supposedly, maldini is left footed, and he is now 39....im not nit picking, but he has no pace now, like laurent blanc. Im sure he can play across the back four, doesnt mean he's comfortable there - especially in the pace of the premiership. ps. he is a world class left back - we would not bring him in to play right back.

    TBH defoe and yakubu are similar in the fact that they both go for power rather than your viduka's and berbatov's who go for placement, combined with power, but they rarely smash it. I want someone at villa who can find the bottom corners and just pass/place it into the back of the net - a fox in the box as someone once labelled francis jeffers!! Is luke the man for this job? If he is then perhaps our variety of attackers needs someone who shoots with venom i.e yak or defoe - then we have pace in Gabby, power/heading in JC, placement in Moore, and venom shooting in defoe/yak?

    Jagielka anyone? Would be cheap as Sheff can't realy turn down a good offer for the lad. Versatile, english, committed - id have him. As for barton and bellamy - MON is the man to get the best out of them - on and off the pitch. Doesnt Bellamy credit MON with kickstarting his career? + he scared the hell out of the Barca back four in the CL - im undecided but I think we could see MON get the best out of the lad. Barton - well his off the field antics are awful, but the lad can definately play. Committed and available for £5.5million. MON wouldn't take any rubbish from the lad either.....

    Dear General, Any chance we can get those awesome leather racing seats inthe dugouts for the players that arsenal and chelsea have - they look the business and all the big footy teams seem to have them! Cherers, Andy

    I think Gabby and Big John upfront could be a devistating combination of pace, power and finishing. Power and pace blended into one goalscoring machine. On top of this Maloney showed yesterday some flashes of what he can do Attacking Midfieilder confident and comfortable Left, Right and Centre!

    Dear General, Just an idea on the ticket front for next season; Student concessions. I know Bolton offer it and I think it's a good idea as you could attract many students from Aston and Birmingham universities to watch a match? Not to mention those villa fans away at uni who would see the cheaper option as good idea? Kind Regards.

    Dea General, I was just looking back at some of the old pictures of the old trinity road stand, and was looking at some of the pictures of the old murial that used to sit above the stand. I was just wandering if there was some way you could bring it back to the stadium? It was a nice touch, and represents the past. Just a thought Cheers.

    Dear General Krulak, Let me first say how refreshing it is that you post on here. Being able to consult with a board member is not only very modern idea, but shows us you care. Secondly, great idea on the club crest consultation, fantastic idea. I hope that the fans veiws can help create a badge that really is one we want. Thirdly, since you have given the fans the choice to have a say on the badge, would there be any chance we could have a say on the kit? Kind Regards.
