  1. Wednesday? what is taking so long. I'm starting to think all this GH talk is a smokescreen!
  2. Agree. Also makes me wonder about premiership experience. If we get someone in who doesn't have it, K-Mac can get them upto speed as first team coach.
  3. If they won't resign then at least we've tried. I've got a gut feeling that our appointment is going to shock/surprise a lot of us (and I'm excited in that respect.) Does anyone else not feel, that if it was someone that was un-employed it would have been tied up by now?
  4. It certainly adds fuel to the fire about the smokescreen - all this speculation has allowed them to quietly get on the job while the press and the fans speculate on a list of out of work managers. For all we know Hitzfield, Jol etc could well be on our radar, and for an appointment that's taken this long to sort out, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be slightly dissapointed if we weren't looking at talented and employed managers.
  5. How? He confirms we're looking at managers that are currently employed, unemployed from home and abroad.
  6. http://tinyurl.com/2va7n94 Surprised no-one has picked up on this. The General confirms we are looking at managers that are currently employed! Shows the media know naff all.
  7. Isn't it odd that we havn't heard anything from Everton today?
  8. Great stuff Gazton. I think people want something to cheer us up, but your absolutely right. There is no point rushing this decision.
  9. Montgomerie's inclusion in the betting is a cast-iron guarantee that people are putt-ing their faith in him being given the green light to drive himself into villa park for one last swing at the bigtime. A little birdie told me the eagle had landed. I'll get my coat.
  10. Thats from the 11th of August and is talking about Tuesday morning and Wednesday Morning - that's not a denial about this curent load of speculation!
  11. oh look it's the return of Glaston, if the tide's coming in our transfer window, surely it's coming in on yours aswell? I'm bored of you Glaston, typical keyboard warrior - have you ever been to white hart lane?
  12. Damocles - I'm afraid £30 million comes with territory. You've blown other clubs out of the water with your wages and general wealth and of course this will turn players heads, after all they are only human. But you cannot expect a team to just bow down because you don't want to pay the price? You've splashed the cash and there's a price that comes with that, unfortunately for you. You can't in a month of sundays really think that Martin O'Neills going to let you take one of his most precious assets for anything less than he values him at? The next problem you have is that James Milner isn't like Lescott - he will play on like a model pro if it doesn't work out. So either you pay what we're asking after your manager and players commenting on our player and turning his head or go on to your next overpaid player, and I agree that you come across as a generally level headed guy, but again, rubbing rival fans up the other way is something that comes with territory. I wish you and Man City good luck in your quest, but for me it's a bit like winning the lottery and questioning whether the players are at your club because they like you, or they just like your money? It will make for an interesting season either way. Genuine question for you though - who do you think will get the better end of the deal if we get Ireland in a swap deal plus cash?
  13. I actually think Ireland will shine here, and I think it could be another absolute steal by MON if he does get him. What other manager in the prem would you back to get Ireland's head right than MON?
  14. just take the word url out of the address RMB
  15. ( join a site that didn't want them Point B is an interesting one. All hail the return of the keyboard warrior extroadinaire!
  16. I have only one response in mind for this.... "it's your rules my lord, it's your rules!"
  17. Well after digesting the game today on a nightmare journey home, here's my thoughts: 1. Delph - Obviously has talent, but he's still very raw and I don't think he should be starting - NRC please - but now we know he's probably a impact player at the moment rather than a starter that can be rectified. 2. Young - Petulant display today, the way Clattenburg started with his reffing I thought Young was going with that - to be fair to the ref he handled it well and I thought he was lucky to still be on the pitch. Can be a match-winner when he's on his game but there was one point where he turned his back on a pass and I saw him arguing with Heskey, the ref, other players - MON needs to address this. 3. Communication/Running into each other - Presumably MAN ON, LEAVE IT, PASS are all understandable considering the vast majority of our team is english or speak english to a decent level. I sensed panic in our defence, saw Delph and Petrov nearly run into each other, Sidwell and Petrov jump for the same ball leaving it for a Wigan player, and the worst one was Shorey's header, If Davies gave him a shout (I have no way of knowing) then no Goal as he was there but Shorey was at fault there. There just seems to be a lack of communication and no direction/leadership. Finally, I was sat by the Wigan fans who I have to say, despite one overweight bald inbred moron, were a credit to their team. They have chants that must G up the players and they never stopped singing. Our fans just looked like shrinking violets to scared to sing. It was painful to hear them sing ' Shit Support my Lord ' in irony after we'd given it out to them. Their chant of 'it's just like watching Brazil' brought a smile to my face, and you could hear them singin from Witton station - not bad for a crowd consigned to a very small part of the ground. After a humbling at home is when you see who is willing to stand up and be counted and how players/managers react to adversity defines their careers - I still have the faith.
  18. James Milner built Rome in a day, then destroyed it to add a sense of competition - and challenged someone to re-build it quicker. His challenge was never beaten, and thus the phrase coined. The lesser spotted Milner has also been spotted in the depths of every World Ocean, doing resistance training against pressure. James Milner doesn't bench-press, instead he does cross-stitch which has the pop-eye affect on him.
  19. James Milner powers all lighting in and around Villa park by using his own cycle-generator at half time.
  20. You forgot to mention that in his hobnail boots he had found a cure for thawing out the ground...marvellous.
  21. James Milner lives in a barrage balloon, marouned somewhere over the pennines, living on nothing but rations left over from all the wars he has fought in.
