  1. I meant Col/Arg and Nor/Swe, not the four together Big differences between the two groups yes.
  2. Colombian, Argentinian; Norwegian, Swedish, no big difference Oh and Heinze was excellent for United the first season, not so much now because of injuries and an Evra in form. Not fair to bring him in. He is one of the best left backs in the world, and you wouldn't hesitate to replace Bouma with him would you? I agree to disagree, and I will also wire 500 NOK (35 quid?) to VT if he succeeds for a club in the Prem, so there is my contribution to the "I will donate x £ to VT if..."-thread
  3. Angel.... somewhat success Heinz..... definate success Tevez..... not so much
  4. Aimar would come, shine for a couple of games, dip in form, get injured perhaps, dip a little bit more, be put out of the side, whinge to the press and fall out with MON. We need hard workers and people who isn't bigger than the club. Bringing in a player who hasn't performed for 5 years isn't the right one. Why bring Ronaldo and Fabregas up in this? They were 18 and 16 when they were brought in by their managers, Aimar is 27 years old or so. Not to mention the two former players extreme advantage in terms of ability. Both are tons better than Aimar and they have 5 years to get better. BTW, Ronaldo weights 15 kg more than Aimar or something, thus not leightweight. I am willing to put all of my knowledge, dignity and future-sayings into this call, Aimar would never make it in the Premiership. At his best, a sublime footballer (at least I saw it 5 years ago), but on a regular basis he is too much of a name, not a performer.
  5. Err no, im just saying your statement is bollocks. Because? I am not doubting Aimar's talent, which is obvious, but everything else about him reaks FLOP So playing in the Spanish league, and small of size equals flop. Good to know... wouldnt want Fabregas would we? Again you are smacking back with a lame attempted counterattack, I don't even think Fabregas played in the Spanish league, let alone much! NO, I am talking about the Aimar many of us have seen numerous times, both for Valencia and the national team. I know for a fact that he is lazy, often dips in form (numbers out for all to see), often injured, often falls out with mangers (Hector Cuper), dives a lot and is very lightweight. Like I said, not someone we would like at Villa Park as he would flop easily. He is the kind of player Newcastle brings in, and destroys. And why use the word bollocks?

  7. Oh like Zola? Love it when people bring in exceptions, like they are going to change everything. "Wenger are great with talents" - what about Jeffers? (yeah, but what about the 95% others he has brought in) etc No, Pablo Aimar is a little whimp of a diver who hasn't performed in 5 years. He was a great talent over at Valencia, then he vanished completely with various dips in form and several injuries. He doesn't run for the ball when he loses it and he doesn't contribute in defence. He is known for his constant dips in form, his temperament (not a team-player), his whinging when not playing and diving. He is lightweight and loves to take tumble, as well as South-American, which makes him 95% certain to flop as a little girl in our hard league.
  8. Pablo Aimar is 99% certain to flop bigtime in the Prem, he is a little wimp
  9. I just can't imagine why some of you want MORE squad-players in our team. We have them already! We need players who make Davis and McCann squad-players, not the other way around. Why should we sign Danny Murphy when he isn't better than Davis? That's just silly.
  10. No point in asking questions towards transfer-fees, you can't possibly judge the value of a 17 year old. What if he goes on to be a brilliant player for 14 years for the same club? Which means they don't have to buy another one in all those years. He can flop as well, like Jeffers. The big clubs can afford to do so easily.
  11. When I said "before" Barry, I meant he was picked over Barry. I know Barry had one match six years ago or something. I am talking about 2005-2006. Anyway; as of the 18th of January we are the biggest losers in this windows. We have promised so much, and delievered yet so little (as of now). I expect us to bring in a panic-buy on the 31st, but surely someone has misunderstood completely. Lerner isn't used to this market and business, maybe he should have let others to the talking this time? Just asking, not making conclusions.
  12. Saying Kieran Richardson is absolute rubbish, is absolute rubbish. He is very fast, has a great shot and knows how to attack. Not the greatest player, but I dare remind you he made his name as a WBA-player and made the International team before Barry.
  13. The Neill-debate: Above all they are getting a much better player than we do, arguement over. They spent the most money on RB and got a better one.
  14. Wayne Routledge would be a huge step down. He was awesome but somehow didn't make it on to the next level, very much like Young right now he was...
  15. OK, but still not an ocean of any sorts. Remember we all laughed at Tottenham and Newcastle when they were down in the shit, now they are both ahead. Things change rapidly and if they get players like Young and we don't, they will finish above us again. I still can't believe the price-tag though, 10M for an unproven player like Young? Damn!
  16. I dear remind you we are only 5 or 6 point ahead of West Ham at current state, which is NOTHING when there are 18 matches left to be played.
  17. Why are you pointing this out when I say so myself at the end? Need atttention? Au contraire my friend, they were both heavily linked for many months, especially Bardsley. Not all players need time to settle in, and they might as well work much better than the player we have already who is "settled"
  18. I think we will buy three more players. 1 - Right winger (Either SWP or Young) 2 - Striker (Harewood or Smith on loan) 3 - Championship-player of some sorts --- I am afraid we will come too short, but I hope we're at it in the summer.
  19. Peter Crouch, Nayim Grayhib, Fabio Ferraresi, Stanley Collymore and Nigel Spink.
  20. I am a bit bedazzled by the lack of options. Seems like MON is tied up with the ones we imagined he would buy, players like Young, SWP, Bent and Bardsley (which he got). Why hasn't he looked further than the Prem? Great we have lots of British players, but look to Spain and Italy as well as Holland and Germany. I don't know of course, I don't know at all, but it looks like he is a bit tied up at the moment.
  21. We are not going to be watching European Football either, not that I was expecting it. We should however not do the error of misjudging the situation. We are in trouble, we need to start winning very soon to avoid the extra pressure. I don't think our biggest targets are flattered by the situation we are in right now.
  22. In a shit market Young is worth 5M, in a great market like today he is worth 8M tops. Paying anything over that would be strange, but I wouldn't neccessarily condemn it, it's not my money.
  23. Agree with him not paying silly money for a player such as Young or whomever it is, expect it to be him. He is the 7M player, he ain't worth more than that. Unproven and hardly a world-beater in the making. Still, zero players signed. Bardsley is a good player, but he will vanish before the end-product is finished.
  24. Talked to a guy at work about Lasse Staw, he is this mad Fredrikstad-supporter: Good keeper by all means, but too early to tell if he is gonna make it. Like he said; he is miles behind the 32 year old Shabaan right now, hardly the best idea to leave for Villa if you want to play regularly. But who knows.
  25. An even funnier one; 03/08/1999 Leeds manager David O'Leary on Hasselbaink's £12m move: "We have a player who has two year left on his contract, but we feel a deal has already been done with Atletico Madrid. It is not right because he is our player and is under contract, we are not too pleased about it at all, we feel a stand has to be made like Arsenal tried to do with Anelka." 04/08/1999 Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink moved from Leeds United to Atletico Madrid for £12m
