Not surprised. Postecoglou is class.

Easily bullied off the ball. Lacking any real pace. Turning over a lot of easy possession.
That said, I see improvements. He knew he stood no chance against the likes of Bowen for pace today, but I though his positioning throughout was excellent.
If he cuts out the lazy turnovers (something both Digne, Zaniolo and Luiz were also guilty of at times yesterday) there's not a lot left to criticise.

Had a good feeling about this one, despite our poor record against Wet Spam.
That was a complete performance against a good side. Remember, we are down on numbers and playing a lot of football.
3 things I learned:
- Only Jack Grealish was better at drawing fouls then Ezri Konsa
- I didn't notice the ref during the game. That's the first time this season I can vote "Good" in the match poll with a clear conscience
- We are bloody good, aren't we?

Wow.
Just wow.
Crisp passing. Great movement. Penetration. Patience.
It's been a joy to watch. Wet Spam huffing and puffing - but not on the same level.
Lets hope we can keep it up.

Tbh I was filling in the survey and I realised I really don’t give a …. about the badge. It’s like choosing cushions. Who cares. Hope everyone who does care gets something they want.
I'm in a similar state of mind. I can't help but think that asking the supporters for a badge they like is akin to asking Homer to design a car.
The badge is something to rally behind, not something that needs to please every fan.

After an excellent start, we have become scrappy and sloppy - everything Wolves are and wanted from this match.
We play our football, we win this.

Can't believe clubs are still hiring Mark Hughes. Has he had any success at any level?
Well... yes. He has had much success getting clubs to hire him.
Must have a great agent.

He's filling a gap and he's got a lot of adjusting to do. The output simply is not there... yet.
The attributes are there, though. Unai will get a tune out of him soon enough

Well then. That wasn't bad, was it?
Hard to pick a poor player for Villa - what an outstanding performance!
3 things I learned:
- I used to make fun of people who couldn't understand offside - but I no longer know what it is.
- Our players are incredibly adaptable - which is just as well given the extremes in officiating. Today was "fall and I'll blow the whistle" - the complete antithesis of last week.
- We've been missing Ramsey

All in all a very good away performance against a London based team. Excellent.
Emi, Luiz, Kamara, Konsa and Torres all fantastic.
2 things I learned, 1 I already knew:
- Apparently extra time not played in the first half becomes extra time in the 2nd half. 11 minutes? You wot?
- Zaniollo will be immense once he beds in properly
- Queenslanders cannot count past 2.

Geez, some of you lot are embarrassing.
Sterling was through, Digne knew it and stopped him illegally. That's a yellow.
He copped one in the face for his trouble, but clearly that was accidental.

Their gameplan really just revolves around giving the ball to Rashford and Fernandes in final third and hoping one of them can score a worldie or dive for penalty to win a game e.g. Rashford v Forest.
When you think about it that's basically been their way to win many games since Solskjaer was there.
Onana looks a walking mistake currently, defence has endless injuries and midfield balance has completely gone but I'd fancy us to finish above them if one of the above picked up an injury for a couple of months. They can't afford to lose those two if they want to remain competitive in top 4.
I'm convinced that Onana is Taibi in disguise.
-
Well.. that was easy, wasn't it?
Been a while since we won coming from behind - almost 12 months, apparently - which makes the win that much sweeter and important.
3 things I learned:
- I don't like this "scoring late" malarky. Can we switch back to scoring early please?
- A perfect sliding tackle, boundless energy, a smashing finish and a daft yellow card. Duran is never dull
- There is only one master of the dark arts between the sticks. For reference: he's at the opposite end, Sam. Nice try though.

-
Well, that didn't go well.
3 things I learned:
- Without Mings and Carlos, our defensive backline is as intimidating as a box of kittens
- Torres isn't up to speed. Yet.
- Emery doesn't always get it right.
- 2
-
Duran channeling his inner Tonev
-
We play some good stuff under Emery...
.. but, mentally, the old Villa is still there. We were never in this one and it could still be 5 or 6

They have us worked out: Nunez and Salah running at Pau Torres - who has been poor.
This could be a big score

Its so early yet to make any assumptions
Gerrard looked good at the start
Very true.
But Gerrard had 2 seasons at Rangers and a name.
Postecoglou has been in management for decades and always had success at clubs he managed.

- just a shame, he couldn't have had a clean sheet
- Lee is not a bad commentator, has come on quite a lot.
We do seem to have a lot of ex players, who are/have been commentating....must be something in the water at BMH
Aye - maybe wasn't clear from what I said, but I loved watching Hendrie play. He's one of the better co-commentators IMO - he reads the play well and remains (mostly) impartial

Fans singing we've got our Tottingham back.
Goodness me, they're quick and easy to turn around.
Don't underestimate Postecoglou. He's good.

I love Lee Hendrie
That is all

Supremely comfortable, bar a poor start to the 2nd. I like the cut of Zaniolo's jib. McGinn is something else (and my MOTM) and Cash did waaaay better than I expected.
3 things I learned:
- I enjoy listening to Lee Hendrie almost as much as watching him play (was co-commentator on my stream)
- Konsa is a baller
- We can win with Olsen in goal

Cash been right on the money.
... I'll get my coat.

Spuds aren't responsible for who they play - they are only responsible for winning.
They've done a great job seeing as they lost their biggest player in the build up to the season (compare that with how we did when Jack left).
And while it's fair to argue about luck and weak opponents - winning breeds confidence and they have a very good manager. It would seem more likely to continue than not.
Looking forward to our game against them.
