Can't stand ManUre...
... but gotta admit - their finishing for their goals in the game against Galatasaray was top notch.

The bit that annoys me about the cash tackle is the Spurs fans moaning that he was just back form injury so Cash should have gone easy on him.
Nope.
If he's on the pitch he'll be treated like any other player. If he is still too fragile he shouldn't be on the pitch. Simple enough
It's an important point to make for any contact sport.
In the NRL down here (rugby league), if someone is coming back from an injury, you can be sure the opposition will "test it out" to see how well they have recovered.

Didn't need VAR for any of Son's.
Yeah, exactly that.
Needed VAR to pick a less favourable camera angle to draw lines and deny us a goal from Watkins.
Son's attempts? Even the worst linesman would call those correctly. The very definition of clear and obvious

The only thing coming close to the stench of the refereeing has been Cash. He looks totally lost.
Bailey on at halftime for Cash. Ramsey in the 60th for an out-of-sorts Diaby

The machine definitely looks like its missing a few cogs, and I think Mahrez is one of them too.
'salright. They got Jack. Pep is such a good manager he'll know how to unleash Grealish against a tight defence and get that winning goal.
... right?

Must admit - my favourite commentator is now Lee Hendrie

TAA is as sublime on the ball as he is diabolical off it.
Massive miss-match vs Doku. Oh what I would have given for a fit Moreno when we played Liverpool!

It took a Portuguese referee to finally give Kane what he deserves: A yellow card for diving.

From the outside looking in, I find the move a little strange too. Not sure if Raya is that much of an upgrade on Ramsdale. But not exactly watched them all that closely.
Arsenal in "Couldn't spot a WC winning GK if he was playing in their reserves" shocker.

Probably made it harder than we had to - but that's a good win largely in second gear. 13 straight at home. Wow.
3 things I learned:
- John McGinn is a machine
- Lee Hendrie is enjoyable to listen to
- Unai Emery has no limits

What has stood out for me about our play this season: We don't "overplay" as much.
Probably best seen in our match against Wet Spam. We had large spells of possession where we probed and prodded, but when it clearly wasn't on we just recycled possession and started again.
Zaniolo isn't there yet. It feels like with every touch he gets he tries to make something happen. Occasionally we get a shot on goal or a clever piece to beat a man...
... but usually it just means he turns it over through a loose pass or running into dead ends.
It will come given enough time with Emery. It has for every other regular player.

Thought Alkmaar played a very good disciplined game, especially defensively - but we were clearly the better team despite struggling to create clear-cut chances.
3 things I learned:
- Our defensive squad - even without Mings - is exceptionally good.
- I'm usually dismayed when Matt Ryan is beaten - but not today.
- I don't know what offside is. I used to know, but not anymore.

He isn't a scapegoat, he just isn't very good
I watched him in Italy and is no different. Guy has talent but no football brain.
If he was from say Bulgaria and his name was Tonev he wouldn't get as much sympathy
I can't comment as I haven't seen him previously.
And there is some truth in Villa fans looking for a scapegoat (shame Buendia wasn't playing, eh?)
But the truth is that Zaniolo has all the physical attributes and good technical ability....
.. but zero output. Most balls played to him result in either a turnover or a wayward shot.
In the first half vs Forest it seemed clear to me that they identified 2 targets to press hard and double team when we had the ball: Kamara and Zaniolo. And it worked.

Based on one away loss against a team that's not actually that terrible. Give me a break
Even you couldn't deny there was something very "Villa-like" in our inability to take this opportunity when presented to us.

I'd expect the best keeper in the world to be comfortable saving a shot from outside the box by a player who is not a goalscorer.
But no. Twice.
Played into their hands perfectly. Frustrating.

Tough away game - but I'm quietly confident.
Loudly confident too
Villa 2-0, a clean sheet at last.

Interesting peoples take on the Villa now, and Emery.
Was listening to Sherwood and Steve Sidwell talk about Villa's chances at a title. To sum up:
- the great run we are on can't last
- we are lacking the superstars to win a title
- Emery works incredibly hard and long - but why?
Now while I agree that we aren't in a title race, they still underestimate us and Emery. Long may it continue.

Can anybody else in our team draw a foul like Ezri?
In recent memory only Jack was better at it.

Early days but when did we actually finish man u in the league?
I mean - I'd love to see them relegated but finishing them seems a little extreme.

Superlatives.
