  1. Lexicon, we need a bastard to the opposition, not a bastard to the players in the Villa team. Blackburn are in for him by all accounts, and I really hope they get him. Surely DOL wouldn't be so stupid as to buy a d*ckhead like Bellamy. i hope not anyway.
  2. West Brom for me. Their fans deserve to be in the Premiership and I like that they are our true historical rivals (which is why I wanted Wolves to stay up too). I think they have too much for the other teams around them and I hope they get the results to keep them afloat, even if it means we don't get Gera in the Summer. Norwich I couldn't care less about either way. Palace I like, but they don't have any potential. At least WBA have a fan base of some description. Southampton ? I'd just like to see Le Tissier's glum face on Soccer Saturday next season. They should've gone long ago.
  3. I don't think Vass is more skillful than Owen, but he is definitely quicker and stronger.
  4. I don't think there's a quicker English striker in the game than Darius (and that includes Owen), so there'll always be a place for him in the squad, if only to give options to the manager. I do think he'll regain his place in the England squad simply because no-one else can offer what he offers. Hopefully he starts to regularly score the goals now that he seems to have a hunger for the remainder of the season. You also make a good point about him returning "bigger". I noticed that his shoulders seem half a foot wider than before he got inujred It might be just my imagination but he seems to have filled out (in a good way, not a Ginola way) while he was away. P.S. it's great to see Laursen shutting his critics up
  5. Oh God, Davis is gonna win this  FYI, I've gone for Laursen.
  6. I can see this breaking the 'number of pages' record on this forum
  7. Vegetarian = opposite to Vaginatarian
  8. I went for Hendrie. Solano and McCann were already great last year. Barry has improved a lot too but Hendrie has added both consistency and a certain level of leadership to his game. He still cares almost too much at times but he gets my vote. Ridgewell is a good shout by others but I feel he hasn't played enough and still has a way to go yet.
  9. Kit should be changed every 2 years and sleeves should ALWAYS be blue. So only 1 option for me - bottom right.
  10. Sly dig at Savo there LL Savo did well for us. It's Balaban that really bit us on the ass.
  11. Dukes, we get a nominal fee for him as compensation for developing him as a kid. We do not get a transfer fee. You are wrong here I'm afraid.
  12. Regardless of whether he is good enough to be a first-teamer, he is rated at £3m. So am I to take it that 37% of the current voters think it is worth losing him for nothing when our transfet budget is laughable ? Brilliant, sound logic guys  Fortunately for those who don't think him worthy of a new contract, it is he who holds all the cards and will most likely not sign anyway. I mean, why on earth would he when he can go back home, make a relative fortune in a top team and cement his place in the German side for next years world cup ????? He'd be bloody mad to stay here in this club that is spiralling out of control.
  13. The Reverend John Flapps was the pastor of a small town. One day he was walking down the High Street and he noticed a young lady of his congregation sitting in a pub drinking beer. The reverend wasn't happy. He walked through the open door of the pub and sat down next to the woman. "Mrs Fitzgerald," he said sternly. "This is no place for a member of my congregation. Why don't you let me take you home?" "Sure," she said with a slur, obviously very drunk. When Mrs Fitzgerald stood up from the bar, she began to weave back and forth. The reverend realised that she'd had far too much to drink and grabbed her arms to steady her. When he did, they both lost their balance and tumbled to the floor. After rolling around for a few moments, the reverend wound up on top of Mrs Fitzgerald, her skirt hiked up to her waist. The pub landlord looked over and said, "Oi Mate, we won't have any of that carrying on in this pub." The reverend looked up at the landlord and said, "But you don't understand, I'm Pastor Flapps." The landlord nodded and said, "Oh well, if you're that far in, you might as well finish."

    The Death Penalty

Cool. Now it's my personal favourite too. Ogrish.com came along too late. Imagine we'd all have that video on our hard drives if they'd been around then. Or is it available somewhere

    The Death Penalty

I don't agree with the death penalty BUT if there HAD to be one I'd go for guillotine. Give us a show baby

    Berson leaving?

I heard that Berson was one of the people who convinced Djemba to come here. I didn't hear that he recommended him to Dave.

    Berson leaving?

I thought the Djemba twins were good against Arsenal (what I saw of them anyway). He went through Henry and Vieira at 60mph and was strategically brought off after the hour for fear of being sent off. Pure commitment and desire to impress. 2 things Carlton Cole could do well to emulate.

    Berson leaving?

I voted 'staying' more out of hope than anything else. I'd actually rather him to stay than Hitz to stay although I'd prefer both.

    Berson leaving?

    Poll has been added.

    Berson leaving?

I hope he doesn't but I wouldn't be surprised if he does.
  21. Have to say I'd be surprised if Gravesen and Solskjaer get any votes !!
  22. No Savage or Bellamy ? Pff I always liked Dalian Atkinson. Not only cuz he was a Villan, I just thought he always looked happy and enjoying football. But I realise voting for a Villan is not objective so I've gone for Zola who was the first person that entered my head along with Juninho.
  23. I didn't realise there's a Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy coming out. I doubt they'll do the books justice. If they do it should be a 4 hour film And what about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ? Is anyone else intrigued as to what Johnny Depp will do to this ? I hope he pulls it off ! He has a lot to live up to.
