  1. Yeah not doubt, just think about players like Sidwell,Heskey,Reo-Coker,Zat Knight,Shaun Maloney,Wayne Routledge, Nicky Shorey, Marlon Harewood he did really turn them from nothing to superstars :| And turned fully capable players who could start for most squads in the top six into less than bench warmers. What a load of shit. Who from our bench would be starting for chelsea, man u, arsenal, spurs or man city then? salifou and Osbourne. :winkold: Luke Young most prominently springs to mind.

  3. In the end. It's all labout the money son. :winkold:
  4. I'm starting to warm to the Idea of us getting Doyle, Him, an attacking midfielder, a destroyer better than Reo Coker/Petrov, A good right back who MON feels like playing, maybe another winger and I think it would have been a good summer. Carew, Gabby, Doyle, Delfueneso ain't too shabby. Hope we do better though.
  5. Apparently West Ham have agreed a deal for Yakubu. Would anyone have him?
  6. He must have been at least half decent before his move to Manchester to even get there...no? :?
  7. Dunne issues City warning to Milner http://tinyurl.com/DUNNE-WARNING
  8. Agreed...Carew is worth keeping for another season at least. Flog Heskey!
  9. don't worry mate we've got the first choice England striker :?
  10. Dunne would welcome Ireland at Villa Would be great, and an even bigger bonus if we KEPT MILNER! http://tinyurl.com/Ireland-Villa
  11. Veloso, Henry, Onuoha, Bentley, Ireland (If Milly goes) would be a decent summer i feel. As a matter of fact I feel we should go all out to get that Left full back/Left winger Michael Bastos!
  12. it's always the same. Forget what you've done this season martin, I'm going to have a moan because it's clear we'd have done better if you'd done what I wanted. We lost 6 premiership games all season, do you not think cuellar played any part in that? No doubt you'll tell me we probably would have lost less if young had played. I think we also drew alot, and Cuellar, MON and his tactics and decisions have alot to do with that. alot of those draws could have been wins easily with better tactical nous.
  13. I second the cry laugh, what a pathetic story. 7th placed LIVERPOOL??!!!
  14. Given the right tutelage and motivation I think Richards could be one of the best attacking full backs in the world. Maybe one day he could even be as good a fullback as Carlos!!!
  15. Watching the quality of these teams tonight made me kind of jealous, some brilliant performances, and devastating finishing from Milito.CLASS.
  16. Great logic  You telling me that if Messi didn't play for a whole season and then got put up for sale, none of the big clubs would go for him, because they haven't seen him play for a while? So I guess by you and the others who support this stupidness....since Cuellar has been so great at right back...and been better than Luke...the top clubs should be beating down our door trying to sign this new Spanish RB sensation. please stop. (AS A RIGHT BACK).
  17. It really defies me how people can debate this, i don't care where we have finished etc, point is we could have possibly finished HIGHER if we were playing the right team and the right subs were used. Anyone with half a brain can see the benefit of having Luke Young as a pose to Cuellar in the team. One of our problemns was SCORING, why we drew so much, lack of ideas on no balance of attacking threat from the right side aside from the winger. All the best teams use TWO proper full backs. Not just for the sdake of using two fullbacks but for the obvious tactical benefit, add to that that Luke Young is very good fullback, everybody knows that, and he is better at that position than the person who kept him on the bench!
  18. The more I think about this the more it pisses me off. Pathetic management by MON. Luke Young is way too good to be on our bench behind Cuellar, we'll regret losing him, and MON will probably sign some shit, value for money right back with PL or SPL experience, or even better, Cuellar might be our full time, long term right back.
  19. No he wasn't. EDIT - Double checked, you're right he wasn't, but should it make a difference the way he died?
  20. Bicks the point is, whether you agree or not, he's a zillion times better than Cuellar at right back, and could have added so much to our team, even after mourning the loss of his brother, he has wanted to play and simply hasnt been, for a CB who is shit at RB.
  21. I posted this in the transfer speculation thread, i'm highly pissed off at MON for Luke Young, and agree with everything he's said.
  22. I don't think anyone has said we're incapable of buying players that are past it and are looking for one final payday. Henry is lined up fora move to the new York redbulls I believe, no disrespect to JPA but that should tell you all you need to know.... Mate you've got to admit that even if "he's past his best", his average is better than a shitload of strikers!? He could be that sub who can turn a game on it's head with a moment of brilliance! Alla Berger, or even the way Phillips is used at Brum. Also a star quality which would undoubtedley boost our profile.
  23. West Ham are after Thierry Henry, if theyv'e got the nuts to try things like this, we surely must be able to ourselves. Must be worth a punt, even for a year and high wages?
