  1. yes and he controls already 20% of the club he only has to hoover up another 10% and he would be in effective control .... the good news from our point of view is tha the shares are not liquid thus to get the extra 10% would take too long for the small shareholders.
  2. lets stop this eh ??? I don't give aa chuff about this what I care about is the future ....
  3. taking this and Malc's points together yet again another small drop troday of 50 p with no trades indicates a general downward trend. Of course the person most affected by this is Petchey .... he is the one person who will not want to see a slow long decline
  4. just how much is selling off the catering worth, can't be a lot .... it just show the cash flow is desperate as well as the price freeze before June ....
  5. time to bring up an old favourite again ... but anyone noticed the share price is slowly drifting down. Now whilst a 12p drop in three days is nothing to write about, but sudeendly we have seen a few share trades of a 1,000 and all sales after a month of nothing, doubt it means **** all ....
  6. and Malc as to the Petchey point, he is playing a game but what it is, it is not clear is it ??? Is he waiting for Ellis to die and then play his game ? Apparently he wqas angry the Ranson bid was turned down but we have heard nothing. Is he plying the pressure behind the scenes ?
  7. From the Mail's article it is clear the only future plans are that Ellis has not sold and will not in the short/meduim term. The full year reports will be horrible, especially with lower prize money, a slightly increased wage bill, much lower attendances etc. As to the land without planning permission it is worthless and the Siemens site can onbly be used for industrial purposes and the Asda site is up int he air. Please can we all remember the training ground has been postponed as we can not afford that because of no cash and obviously we have no credit lines.
  8. No I don't because I believe everything at teh club stems from the standards set by Ellis and his whole presence at teh club. All companies reflect the leadership at the top and at Villa this is totally true.
  9. why should I doesn't it affect everything that happens at the club and thus on the field ?? If you don't like it read other threads ....
  10. yep just stalling, to take the pressure off and has it not worked, I wonder though who advised him to do that ??? doubt it was Ellis, hate to think it was Petchey ....
  11. my God it is only on the 20th Jan we appointed them, thought is was much longer !!!!
  12. after reading what is int he programme tomorrow it is safe to assume and I admit it, that I was wrong. Whilst on the surface it appears Ellis is willing to seel he knows with a price tag of £64m no-one will bid and in 6 months Rothschilds have found no-one. therefore ellis's stance behind the takeover bid is only alive because Neville is still apparently around and Ellis is saying that he will only sell to 'football men' whatever that means, another delaying tactic. How long can this farce of a takeover be substained .... until the next AGM ??? Gringo, you were right mate ... And now Petchey is there awaiting Ellis to die, pick his hsares up at a cheap price and sell all the assets and make himself a nice profit and leave the club stripped bare. that is 'Mr. aston Villa's' legaacy to us.
  13. we don't know Petchey's motives except he always looks for undervalued companies, buys loads of cheap shares and then sells higher usally by realising assets. This has not happened at Villa and he has not followed his usual pattern which makes his motives suspcious.
  14. I am positive the major shareholders ie. Petchey, dugdale and a few others if they wanted could call an EGM and on the basis of company governance and other thiongs could vote Ellis out. However they won't, Petchey is either sitting there waiting to asset sttrip it or knows he will get his money and the others don;t have the energy. it is tired, old and needs shaking up, it will happen the only issue is when.
  15. excellent point Dennis and I am sure he has said he has never met them personally ...
  16. who knows Jim, after we are only mere supporters ?
  17. course it would be Bob in a proper world, but we live in Ellis world and he wants £64m and no-one will pay that ..
  18. Den, is there any takeover ? any parties interested ? Watch now that West Ham have got to the final and watch them get taken over as Pompey did and others might ... where is ours ?
  19. my maye who is a steward said that a lot of stewards are thinking of packing up because of some 'money issues' which had not affected him. I think the issue is more to do with the 'professional' stewards who go for the pay and not because they want to watch a game for free. It does fit the same pattern of a company with no money and all the issues that surrond this including low morale and sackings.
  20. but didn't I get told that Rothschilds only gets paid on comission and this surely can only be forthcoming on a takeover. we will probably not know about it eh ???
  21. good Soccer, that means that both teams will play at the same time giving none of them an advantage ....
  22. I would say it is better than that Soccer, Newky are playing well and not conceeding and blooz can not score ... If I am right but qa Blooz-Newky draw and a Pompey win is enough ..... Who is on live sky next week ?
  23. so West Brom have gone and can see Blooz getting 4 points - Newky - draw and Bolton win so Pompey need just teh one win, wigan ??
  24. so what happens is that we slip and slide further to the nationwide, but I am still confused about one thing who exactly is making teh descions to sack players and curtail the spending because Ellis isn't ?? according to Ginge on here it appears it was being kept from Ellis.
  25. looks like Ellis will be around a while BW.
