  1. I would agree. It's very sad really but does explain alot!
  2. I think I said that but it depends on if they get promoted as he won't drop a division. I can see him going abroad though too. Hope he doesn't come here.
  3. I think the recent incidents would make a swoop for Bellamy less likely. MON will not want trouble makers like him here!
  4. I don't know, I enjoy the derbies but I don't want them coming up and being bought by a rich consortium which is more likely if they are promoted.
  5. I am undecided. Diouf is hardly the most credible victim and I wouldn't be quick to trust him.
  6. RC, that is interesting reading. For all the slagging we give him he has got us on the exact number of points. Mind you, comparing Readin and West Ham shows how little football he must watch.
  7. It may or may not be as bad as made out but the fact is that it is bad and therefore should be stopped.
  8. Olenjiker has his views because of his religious beliefs. I disagree with those and having gone to Catholic school all my life I have realised how much of a cult the Catholic church really is (in my opinion). However, it is ok to have the beliefs he does as long as he doesn't proclaim to be right and doesn't discriminate. It is his opinion and he is entitled to it. To me homosexuality is not a sin it is a natural path which cannot be cured. (And nor should it).
  9. I think we will sign a striker, a right sided midfielder, a central midfielder, a right back and a central defender as well as some "prospects"!
  10. Homosexuality actually carries the death penalty in some countries still today!
  11. Well I am heterosexual as are several other people I know that were raised in single parent families. It is dangerous to try to extrapolate your experiences (people in general that is) when they are so limited in volume, as an explanation for something so sensitive!
  12. If choosing to be gay is a choice then choosing to be straight MUST be also. In that way, we are born without sexual inclination and generally go with the norm. FWIW, I think that is rubbish and that we are born the way we are. Some factors in our upbringing may assist in a person "coming out" or "staying in" but fundamentally we are attracted to who we are due to factors beyond our control.
  13. Loan rules prevent loans being for any less than a month Al. You can't therefore have an immediate recall clause. (until the first month has elapsed that is).
  14. General, I would also like to draw your attention to an article in the Montreal Gazette discussing the new American owners of Premiership clubs. I would hate anyone to think that this is the opinion of the fans as every single Villa fan I have ever come across is united in the opinion that we are in the most capable hands! Absolute Garbage
  15. Which is my point with the example I used above to honest!
  16. Imagine MON thought it was a good idea and sent him off for a month. Imagine he scores, what would he do? If he celebrated, many Villa fans would be unhappy, if he didn't many of the b-losers would be unhappy. I don't see how this benefits anyone but SHA. If he is available for a months loan, surely there are other clubs who would be interested like Stoke.
  17. No chance. Why help them? I am sure they refused publicly to sell Upson to us so why should we loan them the Ridge?
  18. I agree with everything you are saying Sheriff except for the comment about Moore. He is premiership quality in my opinion and would not benefit by playing in the Championship. I think he would sooner leave than do that and I wouldn't blamce him. I see him as very similar to Bent and given a run in the team I think he would be scoring at a similar rate. I appreciate that this is just my opinion but I think Ashton would be more important than Bent because of this.
  19. I think Ashton is definitely a 20 goal a season striker. I think he could play the target man role as well as playing off a big man. Bent is very good and also a 20 goal a season player, I just prefer Ashton.
  20. I disagree Rocafella, although I would be delighted with Bent, I think Ashton has more natural talent, more intelligence and the potential to be even better.
  21. Ashton has the potential to be the new Shearer I think. A genuine talent. I would love to sign him!
  22. I think Hughes, for his versatility and experience is worth keeping. As an impact player Berger may be useful to keep on a 12 month contract. Buying too many players all at once can be unsettling. I would rather sign 4 top quality players and 2 or 3 18/19 year olds for the future. The only players who should be leaving are Hendrie, Sutton, Djemba Djemba, Delaney and maybe JPA and Samuel (although the latter 2 may be worth keeping for another season).
