  1. He's either 6 ft 5" or 6 ft 3" Yeah, I've seen both figures for him so we don't know for sure, seemingly. Looking at that picture I would go for 6' 5" being closer to the mark, he looks very rangy. I'm going to go with 12ft 5" based on this accurate image. Its photoshoped.
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Adams_(footballer) i think he will add anticipated "premier league experience" to our team...
  3. as for the black guy... maybe this one? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_Franco_Teixeira
  4. Any new info about season previews for upcoming season or it is too early?
  5. i'm the type of guy, who loves realistic gameplay, so i must recommend you: Battlefield 2: Project Reality (for modern warfare) and BF2: PR - Project Normandy (for WWII)
  6. Definitely not home attendances. Leeds play in Championship so their attendances will be lower.
  7. I think that the gaps between the teams in the table indicate various "tiers" of team support. Do you consider Villa to be in the same "league" as Man City, Everton, West Ham, Sunderland in terms of support? Which clubs should be removed from this list in your opinion and which should be introduced? Which club should replace Coventry? Boro?
  8. I've recently found interesting debate on skyscrapercity forums about English Top 20 Most Popular Football Clubs ("popular" means "with most supporters"). Have a look at one guy's list: 1. Manchester United 2. Liverpool 3. Arsenal 4. Newcastle 5. Tottenham 6. Chelsea 7. Man city 8. Leeds 9. West Ham 10. Everton 11. Sunderland 12. Aston Villa 13. Sheffield Wednesday 14. Wolverhampton 15. Nottingham Forest 16. West Brom 17. Sheffield United 18. Norwich City 19. Ipswich Town 20. Coventry I'm curious, what do you think about that list? Would you change something?
  9. I've done a little research recently and i will show you results. I was curious what domestic league was the best through the years. Of course from the XIX century to, i think, at least forties of XX, English league was the best league in the world without any doubt. But then? European cups gave us possibility to compare the strength of clubs from various leagues. Each winner of any major european cup gave his country 4 points, each second place team - 3, semifinalists - 2, quarterfinalists - 1. Then i sum up points from 5 last years. I was interested in 5 top leagues every year. Results for English league are as follows: 1956-57 - none 58-59 - 5th 60 - 4th 61 - 3rd 62-64 - 5th 65 - 4th 66 - 3rd 67 - 2nd 68-69 - 3rd 70-75 - 1st 76-83 - 2nd 84-86 - 1st (we should remember that in this period ban started) 87 - 3rd 88 - 4th 89-94 - none 95 - 5th 96-97 - none 98-99 - 5th 00 - 4th 01-03 - 3rd 04-05 - 2nd 06-07 - 3rd 08-11 - 1st 12 - 2nd If it wasn't for that ban from European cups, English league would be still the strongest for a couple of years.
  10. Every league has rivalries. But a flag of that nature has to be organised and tolerated. Chants can happen ad hoc, but that flag shows a level of organisation and anti-semitism that wouldn't get near being tolerated at an English game. Society in general over there must be more tolerant of that kind of prejudice. Can you imagine Arsenal fans with a flag like that at the North London derby? I certainly can't. Of course that our society doesn't tolerate such things. These guys were sentenced and punished. btw
  11. I don't have an account to sign in to view this and can't be arsed to create one, what is this video? Bunch of Russians or Czechs or Polish attack a black fan on his own. Beat him down until security eventually break them up. I'm glad that you didn't see hitler salutes there :? That were russian fans attacking steward.
  12. I would rather say that the left wing/communists/antifa is problem. Why? Because they are often as extreme as right wing but have backing of left wing media (majority in my country). I.e. German (sic!) leftists beat up a lot of normal Polish people on our National Independence Day just because they consider this holiday as fascist holiday!
  13. i don't know this program you are all talking about, but i can assure you that football hooliganism here is not a thing you should be worried about. I go to a third league (4 level) every weekend, and only problems i've seen were on the derby day. Of course there is very strong hate between a couple of clubs, but these guys aren't interested in Euro 2012. Racism sometimes rears its ugly head, but a lot of clubs have afroamerican players and don't have any problems with the fans.
  14. Okkkk, back to the topic: I have a question about Four Four Two season preview. There's one with the August issue and second (update) in September with all the actual rosters?
  15. Is there any Premier League Season Preview magazine in UK? You know, something with team rosters, team photos, maybe a couple of words about club situation etc, etc. I've sought here: http://www.soccer-books.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Foreign_2011_2012_Season_Preview_Magazines_115.html and found nothing. Bonus: picture of 1996/97 season preview
