Having read the above comments and the official club statement about the badge made me think.
With the two options we were given for the new badge (circle or gas lamp) they mocked up how they would look on shirts, sky sports, digital media etc.
I was torn which to vote for, I preferred he gas lamp on the shirt but the circle on everything else, therefore I chose the circle.
If I'd have known that only the shirt was having the new badge for possible one season I would have voted differently.
Not that any of this really matters in the great scheme of things.

Can't understand why a sponsorship deal has to run until end of June, when the season finishes in May.
Surely all the publicity for the sponsor is during the season when their logo is plastered all over Sky, Amazon, MOTD, internet, newspapers and any other outlets that want a piece of the Premier League pie.
Even when the season ends their sponsorship will still be included on historic photographs, season reviews, etc.

I know I'm getting older because whenever I look in a mirror, I see my dad looking back at me.

How many people would actually be in the city centre before a match though?

Still getting the train in, but getting off at Perry Barr as it only appears to be Witton and Aston they are not stopping at.

In a way he was right about Chukwuemeka being out on loan, and no-one picked up on it though, but Caleb Chukwuemeka is out on loan to Crawley

It dawned on me at last nights match when I took my seat (not sure why this didn't occur to me earlier) in T2 across the aisle from T1 so having basically the same view that next season I have to pay far more for that view than the person sitting next to me in T1.
Also my friends daughter had an e-mail yesterday telling her how excited Aston Villa are for her to re-new for next season, as have most season ticket holders, she will go onto an U-21 ticket next season from an U-18 so has the double whammy of not only that price increase but also the re-banding increase and then the mandatory 15% increase as well all for a seat in a stand that is being demolished. She had her first season ticket during the championship, when the top half of the trinity was closed, which I think cost £69 this season it cost £145 and next season will cost £421. The only thing she has done in this time to be so harshly penalised is grow up and get older.

Do you remember years ago when the NHS ambulance drivers were on strike and the army were covering for them the Holte singing "you're going home in an army ambulance"

£560 in the unfit for purpose North upper is now £728... No thanks, ill get another dodgy stick for the back of my TV and fill my fridge with beer. not to mention the Takeaway for the whole family every Saturday night, plus the money ill save on fuel/ travel/ parking. Ill probably just take out a membership and try and make a coupe of visits per season.
I understand we have been one of the cheapest average season tickets for a long time, but this kind of increase over a short space of time stinks. how can one of the cheapest seats in the ground become one of the most expensive overnight?
Very Poor from the club in my opinion. left a bad taste. Shame.
Exactly my sentiments too.
The money I'll save on not renewing will allow a very nice family holiday instead.

After yesterdays kick in the teeth with season ticket price increases (North Stand T2 nearly £200 more expensive than last season) I really couldn't give a shit if we win, lose or draw tonight.
obviously I want us to win

My season ticket used to be in the Holte End, then my eldest kid got the "Villa Bug" and instead of going to the odd game here and there wanted a season ticket.
The North Stand was the cheapest area in the ground for both of us to sit together so I reluctantly gave up my Holte End ticket to go to the matches with my kid. Over the years the prices have gradually crept up from u-14 to u-18 to u-21 and now boom take that the pair of you we want at least 15-20% extra off you so that you pay what you should pay for sitting in the Holte, and by the way forget about the shite facilities you have to put up with in the North Stand, the fact you can't use the bar, food outlets or toilets unless you want to miss at least 20 minutes of the game, get in your cramped little seat and oh by the way give us an extra £350 a season for the privilege.
Not sure I'm going to renew this year as the £1,000+ it will cost me goes a long way to paying for a holiday for the whole family, I have to consider my wife and other kid before I line the pockets of millionaires.

Can vividly remember that during the Covid lockdown games the phrase "football is nothing without fans" being constantly repeated.
2 years on - **** the fans here's another price increase - stomach it or move along for others to take your seat that you've had for the last 10+ years.

Atmosphere pre-game on Saturday, and during the game, had a feeling of the promotion championship season.

Just put a ticket up for re-sale in the North Stand if anybody wants one
