    And? Unless we get someone mega rich its going to be like that forever, for everyone. People will dip and fall, spend, sell go about what they've done for years with the top clubs spending spending spending. We could piss and moan, claim we have a bad owner, get a new manager or owner in every week its not going to change any time soon so we go on and on about it.

    I would, this thread wouldn't be as big if people didn't think that. Hes not allowed to make mistakes, some have a problem with how he is wealthy as well, which is laughable. I'm sure they would have a problem with a Sheikh mansour type as well Any owner will make mistakes, spend too much money, not spend too much money. He really is not that bad. The main problem is people dont like feeling we're going nowhere. Well boo **** woo, welcome to everyone apart from the top 5 or 6 in the premier league. I dont know how everyone copes, dont know why everyone elses grounds are not empty.

"Your a bastard for thinking Lerner is a bad owner" As i may have said that but cannot remember, you like mention it a lot so i'll play a long and let you quote it as you've been itching. Some of the arguments for why he is a bad owner are pathetic, some are thought out and not knee jerk after each loss, but vanish after a win.

    What a load of **** shit! I'm a bluenose because i wont jump on the band wagon that Lerner is this god awful terrible owner. Nobody can seem to answer me why he wasn't a terrible owner when he was spending bucket loads and we had MON along with contributing to improving the infrastructure? This thread and all the other bollocks spouting ones didn't exist then, why not; if he is this awful terrible owner? Are we threatened with going completely out of business, to be a football club at all; because the way some folk are acting we are, its that bad apparently! Then all of a sudden Villa fans are brown football experts, experts at running football clubs, experts and knowing what managers and players are coming. All that Lerner has done all that terrible stuff like the training ground is nothing, thats terrible; well it would be if some Villa fans should be believed. Get a **** grip, for some its an agenda, if he sacked eck, sacked PF got rid of all his money and earned it rather than being given it, made browns amazing told the fans every single thing, people would still have a problem! There are more clubs in this country in the same position than us and a hell of a lot more worse off than us as well, yet some fans seem to think we're automatically should be doing this and that because we're Villa. Pathetic.

    Its quite simple the Villa fans should run the club, they already know SO much about what managers are available and will come, what players will, how easy it is to generate money (just make it) and all the other answers which usually means calling for PF head. Quite simply if he hadn't appointed McLeish and had continued spending money he would be a good owner, because he is only a bad owner recently because he's not doing that and telling us about everything. Villa fans continuing to be an embarrassment. Spend money appoint popular manager, communicate = good owner. Cannot afford to spend money appoint unpopular manager, limit communication = bad owner. Communicate = still a bad owner its not what we wanted to hear. Fans in general should be ignored, as we would have a new manager after every bad performance and would be billions of pounds in debt.

I'm hoping it would have calmed down by now but too many folk are too quick to have a go.

    Not really, Flash is a dying format. Adobe themselves has stopped supporting it for mobile devices. These days you probably think your using flash when in fact its HTML5 or JS. Flash is terrible, good riddance.

    I can only go on what I see and yes I was probably stupid to buy into the proud history bright future bullshit and the other pr crap spouted. I assumed we had an owner with a long term plan, I had no clue how badly we were being run financially behind the scenes. I had no idea we'd lose MON in the manner we did and that he'd be replaced with such a shit manager or that we'd then only be able to attract MacLeish to the job. Now it's become clear that mistakes have been made and the stuff I believed was just pr rubbish. So again it's nothing to do with happy when spending money and unhappy when he's not. So you'd still be unhappy if he spent a shit load in Jan? You do realise that there are no perfect owners? Randy always tried to do the best for the club or always trying to **** if over?

    It's not as easy as that though, players make mistakes, managers make mistakes. If he listened to the fans we would have a new manager and set of players everyweek! You say is not about the money but it clearly is, if he was buying players all the time you wouldn't be moaning. I was not around when o'neill was here but were you hating him then saying he was shit owner then? Or quite happy because o'neill was doing well and spending money?

    Simple, exactly! Its really not that bad, we're trying to be a club run properly and be a team in the top flight. We're not going to win the league or get into the champions league, we're not going to go out of existence, like a hell of a lot of other clubs we're just there... Really is nothing wrong with that. Fans are obsessed with money and then in the same breath complaining its ruining the game, fans being obsessed with money and whether their club is spending is ruining the game!

Boring. Why is Doug still being talked about, football was an entirely different world back then? Imagine if Randy sold to someone and they asset stripped us and threatened the existence of the club, would you be more happy then or now? The grass is not always greener and if you cannot support or enjoy a club that is not just about spending shit loads then god knows why you even follow football. As i think there are more teams and supporters not going to win or be able to spend money than not.. What suckers hey, why is every single fan at every single club depressed or pissing and moaning thinking they can do better?
