    IMO we played a lot of shite hoof football, smash it up to Carew or Heskey, we would have never won much with an English only attitude. MON 06/07 - 43 goals for, 41 goals against GD +2 07/08 - 71 goals for, 51 goals against GD +20 08/09 - 54 goals for, 48 goals against GD +6 09/10 - 52 goals for, 39 goals against GD +13 KMac, GH & GMac 10/11 - 45 goals for, 58 goals against GD -13 Shite hoof football please

    Errrr YOUNG fran, we very nearly did win something though if you recall. And we spent a lot of the season in the upper echloens of the table.

    Nothing, I'm just saying I liked how we were regarded as a club under MON. Everyone used to say how they liked Villa since we had a likeable manager and we had a lot of young exciting English talent - Ash Young, Milner, Davies, Agbonlahor, Barry, Downing, Luke Young, Heskey etc etc Also, we were regared as an exciting counter attacking side with lots of pace (Agbonalhor, Ash Young, Milner/Downing etc)

    A foreign manager will most likely look to bring in foreign talent. Look how many Spaniards Benitez bought at Liverpool. Also Arsenal have lots of home-grown players who aren't English (Fabregas, Bentdner etc)

    British jobs for British people! :x Before anyone calls me racist, I just feel that we were better suited to having a British manager with a lot of good, young English talent (didn't we have 7 players called into an England squad once?)

    Downing already said he would stay at Villa even if we got relegated, so I fully expect him to be at Villa next season.

    I didn't know that Villa played in the Bundesliga... I'd like to see a British manager - Hughes, Moyes, McClaren, Lambert, Curbishley or Allardyce.

    Lol no, it's because I like having derbies. If they stay up along with WBA and Wolves then that's another 6 derbies next year. Then hopefully Forest come up through the play-offs - which would make it 6 Midlands teams in the Prem (Stoke as well) Then next year all Midlands teams stay up and then Derby, Cov and Leicester get promoted - then we'd have 9 Midlands teams in the prem. I can only dream

    No we don't. What good does it do? Did Arsene Wenger need Premier League experience when he came into the league? Did Carlo Ancelotti? A good manager would be able to handle any league. Less risk, more chance of success in a quicker time. It's the same with players. Just how you mention Wenger and Ancelotti, I can just as easily mention Scolari and Juande Ramos.

    Downing deserves a song. Makoun doesn't deserve a song. Is that because Downing is English and, well erm.. Makoun is not!? Ofcourse I keed Lol no it's because Downing has been Player of the Season. Makoun has done nothing to deserve a song as of yet...

    He could probably play in the hole but I don't wanna waste his left foot. It good to have a natural left-footed player on the left to give you natural width.

    This. They were quality with that constant, persistent "A.V.F.C" chant. Even the Upper Holte joined in with it a couple of times, but it got sped up and fizzled out... Upper Holte need to work on their timing and rhythm lol.
