  1. I know that deep down if Mourinho and Fat Sam got offered the england job you would love for Mourinho to have it. The Villa job - yes. The England job - no.
  2. I'm not racist, just patriotic. I'm not saying I want a 100% white victory. I just want a 100% English victory. Doesn't matter what colour they are as long as everyone is English.
  3. I don't wanna win with the help of any Italian managers, assistants, doctors etc. I want it to be a 100% English victory. You don't see the Spanish asking some English people to help them win. If the manager aint English, we may as well get foreign players as well and then it would just be club football. Everyone stop being sheep/pc. You know I speak the truth. And I'm not racist either. The Spanish are way more racist anyway - they would never appoint a foreigner yet alone a black manager - yet no one has a go at them. I know that deep down, you agree with me.
  4. Young/Albrighton------Ireland------Downing ---------------------------Bent------------------
  5. Re: international football It'd be like having a footie match between Birmingham and the Black Country The Black Country have Big Sam (Yam Yam) in charge then we put 'Arry Redknapp (Cockney) in charge instead of a Brummie...
  6. Yes but who has had the more success? I'd rather try and fail with an Englishman than succeed with a foreigner. What about foreign players at Villa? would you like to see more English players get a chance instead of some of the foreign players in our squad? I wouldn't wanna be like Arsenal where we have hardly any English/British players I liked having a young English core under MON but I did wish he'd buy more foreign players sometimes. So I don't mind foreign players but not too many so that there's hardly any English/British players...
  7. You are a wind up i'm sure of it.. the warnock comments, the foreign manager comments, the Ireland "is a good player" comment.. i'm sure you are on a wind up. Nope. For Villa - I'd rather succeed with a foreigner than fail with a British manager, but I'd prefer to succeed with a British manager. For England - the whole point of international football is about one people vs another people. The English vs The Scottish The French vs The Italians The Germans vs The Dutch The Spanish vs The Portuguese The Brazilian vs The Argentinian What's the point in us winning with an Italian in charge? We wouldn't really be winning as England would we? It's like if we had 10 English players + Buffon in goal There's no pride in winning with a foreigner in charge. If you win with an Englishman in charge, there's pride because we, the English, have achieved Not we, the English (with the help of a few Italians.) I only agree with foreign managers if you are a small country who need a foreign manager to bring the footballing expertise from a bigger footballing nation e.g. Thailand with Bryan Robson We are not a small footballing country... Re: my other comments Warnock is our best left-back imo and has been treated badly I'd prefer a British manager for Villa, an English manager for England Ireland is a good player, certainly good enough for our bench I'm not on the wind-up I'm just giving my two pence...
  8. Yes but who has had the more success? I'd rather try and fail with an Englishman than succeed with a foreigner.
  9. For Villa - fair enough For England - not for me
  10. :? Allardyce is English and can speak English. Capello fails in both respects. Not being English is only a fail in your criteria. I think most people would prefer the England manager to be English. It's not like we're some little country like Thailand who need a foreign manager to bring footballing expertise. We're England! Football's home country!
  11. :? Allardyce is English and can speak English. Capello fails in both respects.
  12. I'f rather try with him again with a pre-season next year and give him another chance than to ship him out asap and lose money. I still think he's a good player. You can see he has the touch, technique and creativity to play in the hole.
  13. Damn! I really wanted him to prove himself at the Toon. Still think we should keep him in the squad next season. Hopefully we'll have a new manager who doesn't banish good players from the squad to the detriment of our team.
  14. General, If GH is to retire, can we have a new manager in place before pre-seaon please. Thanks
  15. It's relevant because it shows they were stupid to sack him. I'd rather be 11th with "ugly" football than be relegated with "pretty" football.
  16. I agree he didn't really play well when he did play but still that was no reason to banish him from the first-team and then send him out on loan out of the club asap. I think he would have been a good player to have on the bench to bring on for the last 20 mins or use in a rotation policy etc. He can't be anyworse than Sidwell can he? But we got rid of Sidwell because he wasn't good enough, same as we've got rid of Ireland because he isn't good enough. I think he was good enough for the bench. Rather have Ireland on the bench than Bannan (harsh I know) and Hogg who were getting in ahead of him. Even Clark was playing centre mid.
  17. As I thought. I think Hughes/Moyes could both build a dynasty at this club. Moyes yes, Hughes no. Hughes is a nasty piece of work imo. Typical of him is the current quote on the bbc website "Game was too much for ref - Hughes". He might be an okay manager, but for me he acts like a spoilt, petulant little shit, and I wouldn't like to see him managing the club I support. If Huges comes in I'll be to him what markavfc40 and franvilla are to GH. Houllier deserves it for disrespecting our club. I very much doubt Mark Hughes would come in and insult our club on the first day.
  19. They sacked him when he was 11th - they went on to get relegated Btw, the fact that Newcastle sacked him when they where 11th shows how kind and generous we have been to Houllier and that he needs to leave our club this summer. That doesn't mean he was doing a good job... It just meant more disruption. Kind and generous? It was sensible by Randy, changing a manager with 10 or so games left would have been idiotic and because we hadn't we're comfortably safe. Now we have the summer to probably get a new manager seen as its unlikely that Gerard will return. I'll tell you something if Big Sam comes in players like Downing and Young will be off and you wouldn't see the best if Bent having the ball hoofed to him every time we go forward. Big Sam is a good manager for a mid-table team where he maybe win the odd trophy with negative tactics. We're better then that, we need a manager who will build a foundation that can to better then just winning a League Cup. You only say that because you're used to him being a mid-table manager. Also winning a League Cup would be our first trophy in 15 years lol. In fact, the League Cup is the only Trophy we've won for nearly 30 years lol.
  20. Ok then so why hasnt he? Fair enough then, sometimes its hard to reason with people when they have views like this. Because he's unfashionable, unpopular, unproven at top level etc. Capello only got his break because he played for AC Milan so they gave him the job. Let's say Allardyce had Man U as his first job - would we still be saying he hasn't won anything etc etc - I highly doubt it.
  21. What does this have to do with Houllier. What a pointless comment... The reason Ireland is at Newcastle is because of Houllier...
  22. They sacked him when he was 11th - they went on to get relegated Btw, the fact that Newcastle sacked him when they where 11th shows how kind and generous we have been to Houllier and that he needs to leave our club this summer.
  23. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13208629.stm That is how to treat players properly Houllier. You praise them when their confidence is low, and you look to give them a chance to show their worth. You don't openly criticize them in the press, make them train with the reserves/kiddies and tell them not to bother turning up on matchdays. Houllier - learn from Pardew. Glad to see a manager who actually knows how to treat players fairly and kindly.
  24. Best win % of any England Manager. Never said he wasnt partly to blame but you believe he is to blame for Englands poor World Cup. The players totally bottled it. But no lets get Allardyce a man who has achieved so little in football that Capello could probably use Sams trophy cabinet as storage space for his his own honours. Where his and your reasoning for his long ball is because of the constraints he has had to work with. Which of course is total shit, because Newcastle werent exactly broke and the likes of Coyle at Bolton, Hodgson at the baggies and many others all play decent football with constraints. Who cares if he can win friendlies and beat lesser nations. What happened at the World Cup then eh? The manager is responsible since he picked the players. You say Allardyce has acheived so little in football then again Allardyce has never been given the chance to manage the likes of AC Milan and Real Madrid. And don't give me "and why is that. because he's crap" etc. Capello's first job was AC Milan. Allardyce's first job was Blackpool. Spot the difference. You can't just simply compare trophy cabinets. Look at the clubs they have managed Capello - AC Milan, Real Madrid, Roma, Juventus Allardyce - Blackpool, Notts County, Bolton, Newcastle, Blackburn It's like me in a Ferrari racing Lewis Hamilton in a Ford Focus. I win the race so does that make me a better driver. No you gotta look at the cars we have at our disposal. Likewise you gotta look at the clubs at their disposal. You can say Allardyce has never won the Champions League or league like Capello. I can just as easily say Capello has never got a team promoted to the top flight, established them as a Premier League club and got them into Europe for the first time in their history. End of the day - if I had to choose between Allardyce and Capello for England manager - I would choose Allardyce every single day of the week. Capello should go manage his own country where he would actually sing the national anthem. And I wouldn't want him anywhere near Villa. Just like people say Allardyce has never managed a top club etc so too risky. Well Capello has never managed a club that isn't one of the best in the league etc so too risky /rant over
  25. Because he can't even speak English and I can't wait to see the back of him. Yeah because he's been so shit, his record speaks for itself. Another case of players being blameless and its all the managers fault in the World Cup on the back of a media witch hunt led by the delightfully pleasant Oliver Holt. He's never managed in the Premier League and he hasn't set the world alight as England manager - I mean, he refused to drop Heskey! Plus he couldn't even top a group containing USA, Algeria and Slovenia (could only draw against USA and Algeria) and then losing 4-1 (our biggest ever World Cup Finals defeat!) against Germany (arguably our biggest rivals!) Another case of the manager being blameless and it's all the players' fault (a la Houllier at Villa)
