We haven't won at St James' Park for what, 17 years? And that required them getting 3 players sent off.
Not expecting us to get more than a draw here, that place is as cursed for us as Old Trafford.

I just have an image now of Jack at Bodymoor in the Lance Armstrong role promising youth players that he will pass them the ball and get them in the first team for a simple urine sample
So the Tanzanian fans were right and Grealish wouldn't pass to Samatta, just because he wouldn't give him his piss.

Sure, but the Saudi owners are the actual ones who are waging war in Yemen
I meant more with Edens, but then again, the PIF is totes separate from the Saudi government

But where does it end?
Say Abramovitj goes for Russia in Ukraine, do the Saudis go for their proxy war in Yemen? The US has done this countless times in big or small operations but I would not blame Edens or even Kroenke for it.
English football is foreign owned and the money comes from abroad. Pretty sure the FA and PL will not want to anger the hands that feeds them. No doubt there will be government sanctions against Abramovitj and the likes if Putin presses ahead with a war thou.
To be fair, the difference would be that Abramovich is an Oligarch with a lot of influence in the Russian government, and supposedly was one of the first to recommend Putin to take over from Yeltsin and Mevdevev from Putin, not to mention Abramovich and Putin are said to be extremely close.

Hopefully this leads to Chelsea's owner being booted out of the country - I mean if they go and overthrow a democracy they are officially cut out of life in all Western countries - absolutely no way their companies can continue sponsorship or their oligarchs can continue their investments.
He's got Israeli and Portuguese citizenship too, almost definitely taken just to protect him and his assets in situations like this.

This tweet came up on my feed as an account I follow (Ghana Lions) had liked it. Thought the printouts of Leeds players was quite interesting:
Gives their position, height, 1st contact percentage (whatever that means), and SP goals (whatever that means).
Also a few bullet points about what I'm going to assume is the player's preferred moves. Just thought it was an interesting bit of insight.
SP would be set piece goals, which makes me assume 1st contact percentage would mean how often he's targeted at set peices, possibly?
Which would indicate these are set peice instructions hence why Coutinho would have Harrison, as he wouldn't mark him in game (Similarly Ings has Rodrigo), so I think that may be more of a McPhee thing than a Gerrard one.
The most interesting thing for me is why the hell is there still an El Ghazi shirt there? I know he's still our player, but you'd imagine they wouldn't put it up every game, so has it been just hanging there since he went to Everton like some strange memorial?

The “shin injury” returns. Strangely it always coincides with media stories picking up around his off field issues
From Medical News Today (dunno how credible that is though):
Factors that may cause a person to be more likely to have shin pain from an injury include:
- drinking more than 10 alcoholic drinks per week
- excessive physical exercise
So it probably is just a shin injury, just one that gets exacerbated by him going out on the piss so often.

Here is a completely mad/ignorant question.
If Buendia and Coutinho were in conversation on the pitch, what language would they be speaking in?
Spanish presumably as I assume that would be easiest for both. Coutinho was at Barca for four years and had a spell at Espanyol early in his career, so I imagine he can speak Spanish pretty well as I doubt it's that hard for a Portuguese speaker to pick up. It may be English, but then they'd both be speaking a foreign language and one even further removed for Coutinho.

Well, he has been recently, yet it's been ignored.

Where the hell have they got 8 from?

How does this prick not realise these stories make him look bad and completely unprofessional? With attitudes like that in the squad, it's a miracle Lambert kept us in the league for so long.
He's an absolute embarrassment.

I bet Boris will need to isolate again, for safety…
My first thought when seeing it was that Truss was lying to give Johnson an opportunity to **** off for 10 days, which is pretty mental that I don't think it's that unreasonable of a thought right now.
I'm sure she does have it, but it's bloody convenient that he'll have another excuse to hide when things are getting tough again.

Chelsea are understood to be taking a look at the sale of digital artwork being promoted by John Terry which uses the club’s badge and intellectual property.
The Athletic understands UEFA are investigating the issue. The Premier League is also seeking legal advice about the issue because its trophies, which it owns the trademarks for, are being used in non-fungible tokens (NFTs), alongside depictions of the FA Cup and Champions League trophy, trademarks owned by the FA and UEFA respectively.
A UEFA statement said: "UEFA takes the protection of its intellectual property rights seriously and we are investigating this matter further."
Chelsea, Premier League and UEFA all looking into whether Terry is violating their trademarks with his NFT bullshit.
It does make me wonder if the reason he so suddenly left was becasue the club caught wind he was getting involved in this stuff and didn't want anything to do with it, which would also explain why he's not gone anywhere near an actual manager's job since leaving too.
Although inevitably we're gonna see Villa announce their own NFTs soon just to prove me wrong

Looking at the squad it was before Richards and Lescott etc so wondering who the other bad eggs were and was probably Lambert first 2 seasons. Cant imagine Benteke or Vlaar being bad. The only senior players were Guzan, Given, Nzogbia, El Ahmadi. The likes of Ireland, Dunne, Hutton were injured or on loan a lot
I think maybe Gabby was just a bad influence on the youngsters
It seems like the guy in the story is either Herd or Helenius given that they never played for us again after that training camp took place. Herd would be my guess since he was also involved in that nightclub incident along with Collins and Delph under McLeish. I think that influence from the rotten core of Dunne, Collins and Agbonlahor just permeated throughout our squad for those final Lerner years.

So glad he found it so funny. ‘Mr Villa’ Gabby took this club for a ride
I genuinely despise the man, what a word removed he is. Also, a manager arranges a training camp during the season, and the players are going to him moaning that they don't want to do their job? **** me, our squad was so poisonous at that time.

The VAR was Craig Pawson, I'd love to ask him what the difference was between this and Watkins' claim yesterday which he was also ref of.

Go **** yourself Pawson!!!
Come on Villa!

**** me, what a save by Pickford, even if Watkins is offside...

Well that's a corner or a penalty...

Feels like Ramsey has a reputation with refs that he's a diver even though I can't remember him ever doing anything particularly egregious, he doesn't get anything no matter how obvious the foul.

To be fair, the guy who first mentioned this even clarified to say it would be when Suarez' contract expired in the summer and not in January.
