4 yellows from 5 fouls, 80% hit rate. That's pretty impressive.
I missed the goal, was it a good goal
2 cards from 5 fouls to be fair as Mings' and Cash's were for non-foul reasons. Douglas Luiz may have been for off the ball stuff too thinking about it.

Game’s already lost apparently
It's 15:25 and we haven't even touched the ball yet, it's a disgrace!

I always find it weird when it's mentioned that Martin Johnson played for the All Blacks U21s. Of course they'd pick him if he was in NZ at the time, but he just seems so symbolically English I can't imagine him in another shirt.
Edit - and that's a decent start to the 2nd half for France!

They don’t look invincible though.
Could be an interesting match up (depending on how we do against Wales later)
I'm just not confident with England at the minute, I can see us going in to the France game with only 1 win, although I'd expect us to beat Wales tonight.

At least we'll get battered in style when we go to Paris

What a run from Dupont, a brilliant try.
This France team is something else, I thought it before the 6N, but the more I watch them the more conviced I am that they're gonna win the World Cup. Such a good, exciting team and the core is very young too.

Protests outside the Russian embassy in Budapest … Orban is a big ally of Putin and there are Hungarian elections next month so that could be interesting in the coming weeks
that said Orban has sided with the EU on its stance v Russia
Supposedly there has been anti war protests in Moscow too, maybe I'm being naive, but perhaps Putin has overplayed his hand a bit here? I'm seriously starting to think he's been told he's got something terminal to have started acting so rashly.
edit - @DCJonah beat me to it with a video of the protest.

According to Sky, one of them owns a professional ice hockey team in Russia and they hired their son to be the team manager / coach despite his son not ever having played or coached professionally.
Sounds about right.

My MP in being a massive word removed shocker.
Is there many worse MPs than Bridgen or is it just because he's mine that I notice him being a knob more often than others?

Just started a Man Utd save on Football Manager whilst I wait for the new update and discovered they had Paul McShane in their reserves, so I looked it up, and Man Utd actually signed Paul **** McShane in the summer, what the **** is going on at that club!?

One of the positive things about Newcastle upturn in form is that the Bruce boys have shut up that he would have done a better job
Joelinton is becoming a fantastic example of how shit Bruce is. At Hoffenheim he was a deep lying creative forward which he excelled at and it earned him his £40m move to Newcastle, Bruce looked at him, saw he was tall and looked strong, and decided he was a traditional big number 9 to lead the line, and was predictably shit at it.
Now he's being played in a deeper role and surprise, surprise, the £40m player they bought is actually pretty good when you play him in a way that suits him.

This is a pretty genius move by California, either it forces the Supreme Court to pass a judgement that would by proxy undo Texas' abortion law, or it allows California and other states to take harder lines on gun control through the same loophole.
What's funny is that apparently a gun rights advocacy group even protested the abortion law when it went to the Supreme Court because they were worried this exact situation may happen.

It's quite funny going back to posts in December and seeing that many of the posts whining that he should've stayed were the exact same ones saying he needed to be binned off and replaced with someone else. You got what you wanted, why you having a mardy over it?

Some of the comments in this thread are absolutely pathetic. After years of supporting this club whilst the likes of Beye, N'Zogbia, Bent, Agbonlahor and countless others were more than happy to sit on the bench, or not even in the squad, contributing next to **** all and leeching the club for their ludicrous wages (although it's partly on the club for giving them those wages), it's actually quite refreshing to see a player leave once they know they are likely to not contribute anymore, as much as I would've liked him to stay.
Honestly, it seems to me that the weak-minded cry babies are the ones throwing a hissy fit because a player left us for first team football.

With a post like this I feel it's important to point out that there are people living in America today whose Grandparents and possibly Parents (though I think that would be an outlier) were born into slavery. It is so recent, there are voice recordings of former slaves, there is video of former slaves talking about their experiences. The last known known person born in to slavery in the US died in the 70s! And that's not even touching on the long lasting effects of slavery and the damage that resistance to things like reconstruction caused.
This is not some ancient thing that is way in the past, it is very recent and has very real impacts on modern America.
Hell, slavery isn't even fully illegal in the US! The 13th Amendment explicitly exempts the US penal system from the abolition of slavery. Just a coincidence then that the US has the highest incarceration rate in the world which disproportionally affects/targets black Americans.

New Dr Strange trailer for the SuperBowl.
SpoilerProfessor X!
Possibly. Sure sounds like Patrick Stewart and looks a bit like his silhouette.
Edit - Also that seems to be implying the Illuminati, so maybe Reed Richards showing up too? It was rumoured/theorised that the X-Men or Richards would show up with WandaVision, maybe they were pushed back to Multiverse of Madness when they decided to cut Dr Strange's role from it?

Watkins would be a 30 goal a season striker if it weren't for VAR

I hope they don't take Saint-Maximin off too soon, he's been next to useless this half, he can barely move and they're still trying to play through him

I'm cautious about sharing twitter threads like this as there's a lot of disinformation and opinion swirling around, but this would be encouraging if true as it suggests Putin has severely overestimated how easy this would be.
