Laura Kuenssberg is being quietly moved on from her job at the beeb - I wonder if that's in preparation for a change and that the next govt will have their own journalist, or whether it's in anticipation of her being revealed as having been in attendance at the christmas party?

Been rumoured for a few weeks hasn't it? I remember watching an Ian Hislop interview with I think Joe where it was brought up and he was jokingly asked if he'd want to replace her.

You seriously think he runs the party ? You don't think that Momentum and Corbyn's Marxists and the big Unions are still firmly holding the steering wheel ? Starmer is allowed to operate the way he does but he is dangling from many strings and he knows that which is why he picks his arguments very carefully !

This is Poe's Law in action, right?

  3. Of all players we've had that have scored 10+ Premier League goals for us, only Benteke has a better goals/minute record than Ings' Premier League record.

Someone with 58 Premier League goals not being classed as a proven Premier League scorer is strange to me.

No Broad or Anderson, I’ve long wondered how we’re going to get on without those two long term so I guess we’ll get a taste of it soon enough, hopefully not today tho as we’re batting first.

Going under the radar a little this, which I think is partly because Sky aren’t showing it so they’re not giving it much attention and let’s be honest, as much as we lament it most of us probably use Sky Sports in its various forms for keeping up to date with things.

First day of Ashes is always pivotal, if we lose a couple of early wickets it’s gonna spell trouble. Interesting to see the size of the crowd.

I think we need to hope we don't get a taste before Lunch at this rate :(

Don’t mean to undermine your point because I agree with it, but on this specific piece I am 99% certain his header was going to hit the post - crucial touch from Konsa.

I think it still goes in off the post as it was hitting the inside of it.

  6. Even Schmeichel didn't think anything of what Mings did, when he was asked about it after the game he said he was complaining about the push until the ref said it was Evans that he backed into.

Another week, another week of being gaslighted by both PGMOL and the media that 'the rule is the rule' about one hand on the ball and the ball on the ground.

Irregardless Schmeichel doesn't have control. And if the ref sees it live and doesn't see a foul then why the **** is VAR getting involved??

Clear and obvious or stop using it altogether. We are constantly on the end of these ridiculous decisions.

Sky are at least talking about the second part of that rule now

By the laws, with a stillframe, it isn't a goal, the thing is, the ball is coming in with pace and he has it there for a fraction of a second - is that ball staying in his control even if Ramsey doesn't kick it? Who can say. He gets his hand on top of the ball. Has he actually stopped the ball? Doesn't look it to me

He's also at full stretch, so would likely have to release the ball to regather it with both hands.

I could kind of get it in the late 90s when it was the closest thing to a derby, but yeah, who cares about Leicester.

I think it's also because Leicester have become a good side but have no rivals really, so Sky need at least one game to big up for them.
