  1. We were so aggressive and fresh early in the Spurs game - why are we like this today?
  2. I'm pretty sure 7-8 of our players would take this as end result given the choice. No life, no fight.
  3. Stop passing the ball Jack. We're better off if you just keep it and do your thing.
  4. We don't have a midfield able to keep the ball and push forward. Nakamba doesn't want the ball or know what to do with it, and Luiz is just a passenger. That's why even Drinkwater would be an improvement to this.
  5. Hourihane on for Nakamba, and Elmo on for Fred. At 60 mins Trez on for AEG if things stay the same.
  6. Drinkwater for me too, Nakamba just cannot do anything with the ball.
  7. I'd probably go back to 4-3-3 so as not to play the weakest links, Hause and Engels. Also, Elmo's crosses are not to be overlooked. I love Fred, but his crosses are not very dangerous.
  8. We need to score early and many. Then we have a chance.
  9. Think I'm gonna watch WH vs. City tonight. Will be nice to see Snoddy again ... and WH to lose.
  10. Nothing like Jack I meant, nothing special. Sorry for being imprecise.
  11. We just spent 140 million and have nothing to show for it. So... we might make some good purchases, but I wouldn't let a gem like Jack go. I'd build around him.
  12. That would be disappointing also because it would be a signal, even if not a very strong one, that Villa isn't highly ambitious.
  13. It is. But the intent from Eden's part is there. Their GM has said the money is on the table when they are allowed to start talking. That's a million a week. Dollars of course, but anyways.
  14. I already mentioned that they're different sports and I acknowledge that they cannot be compared as such. What I'm saying is that Edens is Edens in US and UK... Villa is therefore different from before. I don't think case Milner etc. mean anything at this point. (...and maybe not perfectly until this year, but yeah )
  15. And they have a good case in showing what Milwaukee has done. I hope people don't get too frustrated with me using Milwaukee as a comparison, but in reality there is something in common. It is one of the smallest market teams in NBA, and has Giannis. They're the number one team for a second year in a row. I get it that football is not the same, it needs more than one player to succeed, but at Villa Wes has Sawiris to share the burden. Or maybe put it another way: Wes is now used to a big star cult in both "his" teams. It's working perfectly in NBA, and could possibly work here too. If he lets Jack go, what does he have left? I don't know if he's buying a small team "teamplay" culture. I could be wrong, but I doubt he'll want that as his plan A.
  16. VAR should be turned into fully AI based system with no human touch, or be scrapped fully.
  17. Unless Jack forces a move, he's not going anywhere (provided we stay up). We have new owners now, who are on a whole different level compared to our previous ones. They don't need the money, and they are used to getting what they want. In Milwaukee, Edens is putting over 250 mill (in five years) on the table to keep Giannis who's just turned 25. If Edens sees anything remotely like Giannis in Jack, he'll keep him at any price.
