Our moves in this window have been shameful compared to other clubs. We've probably had no better a window than f***ing Bournemouth!
Really?

What’s the point though? This thread has been an endless circle of negativity.
Ive supported Gerrard and quiet rightly I’m not happy with Saturdays performance and we need a big performance this weekend.
There’s not much point saying anymore, constantly finding things to be negative about helps nobody.
Nail on head, echoes my sentiments.

I think everybody at the ground needs to do this regardless of feelings towards SG.
Groans and boos won't make a tense situation any better, it can actually make it much, much worse.
The 12th man can build confidence and pull a performance out of them we know they are well capable of.
Even though Everton lost, they will have some confidence too as they actually weren't bad against Chelsea, we need to stamp that out asap.
I wouldn’t hold your breath, the muppets sitting in front of me on saturday were hurling abuse at the players after 5 minutes!

Meant nothing in the end though did it? And it was SG who f***ed up that result and game. He makes poor decisions, consistently.
Such an embarrassing capitulation in such a short span of time.
Can you elaborate on why you think Gerrard was to blame for that game?
And does he not get any credit for the first 70 minutes? -

Generally I’d agree, but this was so bad from supposedly quality players against an awful Bournemouth team that I can see why fans quickly turned. Look on VT for example, a lot of the Gerrard fans (me included) are now not pro-Gerrard anymore.
Even the commentators thought we were terrible, it wasn’t just biased and over-expectant Villa fans.
We were crap but there’s some that appear to want us to lose as it justifies their anti Gerrard argument. Today I heard that Coutinho is shite, Diego is shite, Kamara is shite, Buendia is shite, just get it forward etc.

Just got back from the game and haven’t read through the pages but we were pretty shite today.
The early goal allowed them to shut up shop, a bank of 4 with 5 in front strangled the game and stopped Coutinho, Bailey and both full backs from getting forward.Yes we were poor, yes Bournemouth wanted it more but by far the biggest disappointment for me was the bitching, moaning and slagging off the players and manager by a good number of the fans after as little as 15 minutes of the game.
Beats me why they bother going, there’s plenty of others that would happily snap their hands off for tickets and genuinely encourage the team rather than berate them at every opportunity.
Rant over!

He was massively inuury prone as we know but if your trying to compare traore to laursen its laughable. Sorry but it is.
Laursen when he played was a leader a unbelievable player that always put in 100%. Traore doesnt. He rarely does. He is quite lazy sometimes on the pitch a d he comes across sometimes like "he dont fancy it" i dont recall ever feeling like that with Laursen
Intrigued to understand how you know he rarely puts in 100% and that he doesn’t fancy it.

Wonder if this has more to do with where Gerrard believes the captain should play
My thoughts too. Perhaps it also hints that Luiz won’t be signing a new deal if SJM is a nailed on starter.

So,he does not start many games for Villa.Does he REALLY think he will start more games for teams like Barcelona,Juventus, etc ?!
It’s whether his agent or God thinks he will.

I'm not so sure still injured is the right term. I think the confidence in his hamstrings just weren't there. It seemed like he was going at 80% every time rather than putting the accelerator all the way down.
You could see he didn’t trust his hamstrings last season

This is very rose tinted you created 1 chance in open play which was the Watkins chance.
We had 3/4 chances that worked your keeperIn my opinion taking into consideration we’re not trying to be a possession team anymore we want to press you to give it away which worked 3/4 times. You might have had more ball but there wasn’t anything between the teams really.
With regards to the supposed rivalry.
Villa were always a meh team to me growing up big club well supported had no particular feeling one way or another with them. They were just there. Still are really. I don’t think many fans particularly care about villa either other than the midlands teams
obviously we are different the whole country seems to have a problem with us.
we all hate Leeds scum is sang everywhere and yes that’s at old Trafford as well for those who say it’s a one sided rivalry.
I think it’s pretty much us both basically being big clubs well supported on the same trajectory for the last few years meaning we’re comparing ourselves off against each other.
As for the tackle I’m not mad about yes, McGinn is a bit of prick wanting to leave one on him but it doesn’t bother me, I prefer feisty games with a bit of edge.
but at the same time that’s why I didn’t like grealish or the whinging of him and dean smith and yes villa fans doing the exact same going mad over tackles on grealish that you’re taking the piss out of Leeds fans for now.
Do you think Gray was a bit of a prick leaving one on Buendia or are you conveniently forgetting that?

Oh the irony of Small Heathens labelling us as being historians and then a band of nobodies living off a couple of hits from 40 years ago stating we’re not from Birmingham.

I phoned the council but they said there's nothing they can do. Makes u wonder what we pay our council tax for, doesn't it.
Anyway, I'll just have to train the dog to shit outside his house, I'll pick it up of course, but it's all about making a statement, innit.
Train your hound to dump on his lawn and don’t pick it up.

Leeds fan at work was mouthing off they’d get 60 million plus for him. The reported fee is well short of that and doesn’t give them a lot to freshen up their squad.
Think they’ll struggle next season now -

He also does a tonne of things that are awful and aren't tracked that really hurt us and go under the radar. How many times does a midfielder that should be mcginns man score from the edge of the area because McGinn loses his man. How many times does he not sprint to close down a crosser or shooter? How many times does he not sprint back when the ball is in transition?
How many times does he do a ridiculous press out of position which results in an advantage in the middle of the park?
In your opinion. Maybe SJM is doing what the manager has asked him to do hence why he’s playing each game.

Not a reflection on you, a general statement. I would have thought that those that had tickets for their last batch of dates should have got some sort of queue jumping link. That would have been the right thing to do.
FYI I had 4 tickets for Villa Park and also 4 for the London stadium

Managed to get 4 tickets for the Taylor Hawkins tribute gig thanks to a pre sale code. Clashes with the home game against Citeh.
Will be an emotional event that’s for sure.

He's a complete arsehole.
One thing I hate about managers. People, generally in any work place is stubbornness. Refusal to change or adapt , being stuck in their ways and the "Well this is how we did it 10 years ago"
...and worse still you highlight it or ask them to adapt, and evolve and change their mindset...and they go the other way. They double down.
Maguire sub last night summed it up. That was a massive **** you to all his "critics"
I can't stand the gutless turd.
Me neither. Absolute fraud of a manager.
