Another response from the Leicester forum and a fair analysis on his playing ability

He was always an outstanding player with enough significant flaws in his game to be at Leicester rather than one of the big 6 or a big club aboard. He’s an excellent, innovative & progressive passer of the ball and he has a thunderbastard long shot. Against that he is ridiculously slow for a Premier League footballer and really struggles with getting up and down the pitch. He’s very much a rhythm player and needs regular game time to maintain his game - he’s not a player that excels in a rotation or off the bench. Over the last 18 months there’s been some serious questions about his application and effort. At times he’s looked like he’s dialled it in and it’s been quite clear that whilst he loves living in the county, he didn’t want to play for the club anymore even after Rodgers had left. Obviously the influence of pocketing the signing on fee was a key factor and he would’ve probably moved ‘sideways’ to Villa if we had stayed up. His poor last season effectively ruled out any chance of a move to a traditional big 6 and also was a factor in our relegation. As such Youri, despite his legendary FA Cup goal, hasn’t left on the greatest terms with a lot of the fans.

So salty that he says it’s a side ways moved if they had survived.

You didn’t survive, you’ll always be a small club that punches above it’s weight every 3 decades or so.

Tielemans can't run, his legs have gone. You have to see it to believe it.

    What did Houllier do wrong?

Accepted the job but couldn’t be arsed to start immediately (we weren’t a priority) and then when he did manage us proceeded to fawn over Liverpool on his return to Anfield.

Gave the impression he was too good to manage our magnificent club.

Same here, met him outside the Holte one time, he was with his Chinese wife/girlfriend, and his graffiti Jag was behind the North stand.

Once parked next to him in that car park, Robert Plant got out of the passenger seat👍

  5. I still think there will be a final twist in the relegation saga and as much as I dislike Leicester I hope for Dean’s reputation it’s Leeds and Everton that go down.

  6. Just back from the game, so very proud of our team.
Had a run in at Lime St with a cockney red who was moaning about Martinez and his time wasting. Didn’t take too kindly when I mentioned playing Europa League on a thursday night.

Funny how the fans of victim fc don’t notice the antics of Salah who falls over every time someone breathes on him.

I joined the Army in 96 as a 17yr old kid. At the the time Coventry we’re just a team up the road who I had no really animosity towards, I didn’t see a rivalry.

But I was with a few Coventry boys in training and honestly they fecking hated us. It was was Villa blues levels of hatred that come as a massive surprise to me.

Since then, feck em, I wouldn’t she’d a tear if they went bust.

This for me. SHA are the spunk stains and Coventry are the skid marks you’d find in a tramps y fronts.

Had to work in Coventry for a couple of years. The hate they have for villa is bizarre, they treat it like a villa blues game 🤣.

Had the misfortune of talking to one of them at the Killers gig at The Ricoh. When he realised I was Villa he told me to keep walking. They’re a special breed, I doubt anyone that experienced an away day at Highfield Rd will want Poventry promoted.

Dodgy place tho. Famous for 24 hours in police custody and EasyJet.

Went there when Bosnich made his debut for us.
Had my car stolen, have no desire to see Luton in the top flight!

No I just don't see the equivalence. Sawiris is an individual businessman, he makes choices about what he wants to do with all that money and none of us know who he is as an individual. We do however know who the Saudis are, we know they chop up journalists, we know they behead gay people - you can't say we don't know who the owners of NUFC are, because we do actually know who they are - they are the Saudi state. It would never be good enough for a club with any pride. Sadly Newcastle do not have pride.

Add class and ethics to your statement as well.

The rhetoric and narrative around this club in the media is really starting to annoy me.

Sky are talking about them at every opportunity and this morning Talksport were discussing potential interest in Bruno Guimarães from Real Madrid. The theory was of course they can fend off interest and so they should. In what planet are Newcastlearabia in the same conversation as Real Madrid.

This club and Man City are stains on the game, i'm almost certain media has been corrupted, bribed in some fashion to 'whitewash' history and further promote them!

It is a distinct possibility they do not qualify for Europe this season and I hope that happens; their form has dropped off. Brighton have two games this week, if they win them both they knock them out of the top six.

Skid marks is a more apt description

Heard from a mate he had surgery on a hand injury on Sunday just gone, unsure how serious/major this surgery was but we may be left with chambers filling in if true

Lives in our village and he's sporting a cast on his arm.
