That flatty is showing the default no-avatar avatar is an indication that he just doesn't have an avatar, not that the system thinks he does but lost the file somewhere.

Going back to MV's original post on the previous page, I was still getting that issue last night.

 

I'd say about 50% of the time I opened a new topic I'd have to refresh it a couple of times before it loaded properly.

 

Cleared cookies and cache etc but was still getting the problem.

It's fine on my PC at work, again using chrome but Xp this time, so it may well be a user related thing. but thought I'd bring it up anyway.

It'll be an advert causing that. There's not really much I can do unless someone somehow works out which ad it is. It's frustrating, but someone will fix it. I've still not had it happen. It's not related to the update or it would happen all the time regardless of computer / browser / etc.

 

Please continue to post any broken avatars. Annoyingly I'll have to delete them and users will need to upload them. I strongly recommend setting up a gravatar.
