After some effort I've re-formatted the result :)

Since I sold Vettel and bought Alonso, Vettel has 2 poles and 2 wins. Consequently I'm completely buggered in this competition and managed to come 52nd out of 52 in Japan (yaay!!). Shays picks up his first medal and makes it a gold one. Jumping 11 places to 19th in the process. The top 5 positions didn't budge although 5th placed TonyH29 made good ground on those above him. We're straight off to Korea this weekend. I love consecutive GP weekends :D

SHAYS gets his 3rd medal and 2nd gold in a row. He has come from absolutely nowhere in the past 3 GP and has now climbed from 34th after Monza to 12th after Korea. He is top of the form guide and at this rate is a serious threat to the leaders, although he would probably have to keep up gold medal pace in order to bridge the >500pt gap. His ace in the hole is that the current leaders are Hamilton teams so his results are not inextricably linked to theirs. He is linked to TonyH29 though, who is also showing a rich vein of form. Vettel's upturn in form has meant a bronze for Tony in Korea and a jump from 8th to 3rd over the past 3 races. He is now arguably the favourite for the competition given that he is the top rated Vettel team and the 2 Hamilton teams above him are there for the taking considering McLaren's recent woeful form and/or luck. The silver medalist in Korea was August who does have previous in this competition. He won the 2010 competition IIRC and he too has a Vettel/Red Bull combo that has seen him climb from 23rd to 7th in 3 races. Definitely one to to keep an eye on.

Remember you can still make changes at this late stage if you think you can bring in someone who is currently on form or who is likely to finish strongly over the final 4 races.

Incredibly, both August and Shays have picked up their fourth medals IN A ROW (gold & silver respectively). In 4 races, August has soared from 23rd to 5th and is now only 136pts off the lead. A gap he could easily bridge in the final 3 races. Shays has gone from 34th to 10th in the same period although I feel the win is out of reach, a great finish is definitely not. The bronze medal goes to Gunjannigam to add to the gold he got at Silverstone and the move up of 6 places puts him in the top 20. A mention also for TonyH29 who has made steady progress against Briggaman for a while now and after India finds himself only 24pts behind. Briggaman will be hoping Hamilton can stay with Vettel in the final races otherwise a fantasy league that stretches back to Signapore might be lost right when it matters. Matt Carter & Lola would also probably (justifiably) say that they are right in the hunt for the win too.

Transfers could be crucial at this point if someone was brave enough to make them...

Sad times. Thanks to McLaren being useless when it comes to Hamilton's car, it looks like I'll be dropping from first place. Shame but I'll still be happy with a top five finish. That might be a struggle with the way they're going...

Well it had to happen sooner or later. We have a new leader of the competition. TonyH29 has toppled Briggaman atop the standings. The Vettel-led team has been catching the Hamilton-team for quite some time and with Hamilton having a race to forget, Tony has taken over with only 2 races to go. Even allowing for Hamilton's disaster, Briggaman still amassed an impressive 658pts which was good enough for 9th in Abu Dhabi.

Gold went to Costaz whose strange driver ordering was the perfect way to maximise the points from the race. Having Vettel as driver #2 meant he benefitted massively from Seb's climb through the field. Maldonado's impressive showing meant as driver #1 for Costaz he did his bit for the team. Costaz's gold was nearly 100pts more than 2nd placed Anderis whose transfers benefitted him. Bringing Lotus in was just the ticket. Bronze went to Osiris (Prince) who has Raikkonen to thank for that.

I'd say at a stretch there are maybe 6 teams still in the hunt to win this competition now but if form is anything to go by, the teams that have Sebastian Vettel in them must be regarded as the favourites. Of the top 6 sides in the competition, TonyH29, Anderis & August are the Vettel sides whereas Briggaman, Matt Carter & Lola F1 are all Hamilton teams.

If I hadn't made my changes for race 14, I would have a gold, a silver and a bronze from the past 5 races and I'd currently be in 9th position, 588pts better off than I am now. What a total and utter pleb.

A lot of change at the top. 5 changes in the top 6 positions actually, including a new (or rather a returning) leader. Briggaman returns to the top of the heap after dropping to 2nd for Abu Dhabi. A strong performance from Hamilton was just what he needed. Similarly, Matt_Carter moves up to 2nd place as previous leader TonyH29 drops 2 places to 3rd after Webber's engine failure messes up his Red Bull engine points. A strong showing from Anderis in 4th place means he is just about in contention aswell going into the final race of the season in Interlagos.

Gold in the USA went to Wlleiotl with 744pts who climbs 4 into 17th and gives him his 2nd gold of the season moving him into 4th in the medal table. Silver went to Briggaman with 705pts. His 3rd silver and 4th medal. No golds though meaning he is 16th in the medal table. Not to worry though. He's in pole position to win the whole comp. Bronze went to Scheivlak with 703pts. His 2nd bronze of the season but enough to move him 6 places into 10th place overall in the competition.

Congratulations to Briggaman who wins my 2012 fantasy competition. It was relatively comfortable in the end. A 246pt gap to 2nd place was the final gap. Well done to TonyH29 who came in 2nd, overtaking Matt_Carter in the final round.

Briggaman made no transfers through the season so his initial team of Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Räikkönen, Timo Glock, Pedro de la Rosa, McLaren, Caterham & Stefano Domenicali did the job for him. He didn't hit the top spot until Singapore and then only fell from there once in Abu Dhabi.

On to the medals. Gold in Brazil went to Wlleiotl who went top of the medal table with that; his 3rd; gold. Silver went to TommyAllen33 who despite having a poor overall season managed 5th in the medal table. Bronze went to Osiris (King of Arms) who finished joint 9th in the medals.

Nor do I , So i'm happy enough with 2nd place , though having briefly taken top spot it was a shame Vettel decided to let me down :-)

But a certain person who

Organizes a rather good fantasy game on Villatalk , who also happens to love

Formula 1 , but who shall remain nameless to protect his identity , told me when I submitted my team that I may wish to reconsider my entry and submit again :)
