Undesirable Posted September 11, 2010 Share Posted September 11, 2010 I don't think that there are any pubs where you'd go for a pre-match pint in stoke and post it under the heading "social"! Last season we were directed to the student union for a drink, it might be a bit busier on a monday night so i've no idea where the police will be telling people to go for a pint. SoccerHQ Posted September 11, 2010 Share Posted September 11, 2010 Most of the pubs in Stoke, Hanley (actual town centre), Heron Cross are strictly home fans only although castle-under-lyme has a nice selection of boozers and is a bit calmer. wedge Posted September 12, 2010 Share Posted September 12, 2010 From memory there is one pub (Harvester?) that seemed a mixture of Stoke and Villa fans...but thats the only one near the ground I can recall and I have no idea where it is, your best bet as mentioned above is to grab a drink in Stafford, Stone or Stoke city centre depending on where you are travelling from before the game.
