Anybody got any experience good or bad?

Been with sky for a few years which has been fine but now out of contract and it's back to £7.50 a month plus the line rental.

Uswitch have an offer, 12 months free on a 12 contract (just pay the line rental) plus £60 love to shop voucher.

For the sake of £7.50 a month I don't want to jump to a crappy supplier so thought I'd ask...

As a new customer yes, current customer they only offered to knock off £2.

I've recently moved to TalkTalk and it's great value so far with no problems. I think there's an element of them trying to make up for the bad press last year. Deinitely giving them a year because the offer I got was so cheap;

Line Rental, free anytime calls and 76mb unlimited fibre internet for £18pm!

then because I'm a customer I'm allowed to have a sim only with them too; changes frequently but got 1000m, unlimited texts and 3GB data for £5.50pm

All the above are the prices for the entire year on 12 month contracts. Router seems better than BTs too.

  • 1 month later...

Just renewed my broadband, went with BT.

Its only a deal because of the quidco cashback.

"Standard" broadband £5 per month

Line rental £17.99 per month

All BT Sport channels via Sky, online and their app £3 per month.

Now the good bit £140 cashback from quidco tracked already

Plus

£50 prepaid Mastercard.

(5+17.99+3)x12=£311.88 for the year.

Minus

140+50=£190 back

£311.88-£190=£121.88 for the year. A smidge over £10 a month for unlimited BB, BT sports & line rental.

Not bad I thought.

How unlimited is the bb? Do they block certain ports, throttle speeds etc

Some providers used to state unlimited but in the small print it was capped around 40GB  within a fair usage policy
