  1. I've been in Liverpool this last week, and visited Anfield via train - Liverpool Central to Kirkdale. It was only £2 return...but is still a 20-ish in walk from there to the ground! so must be about the same to Goodison. Taxi does sound the best bet, wouldnt fancy relying on buses

  2. In an on going quest to try and find something in the realm of dubstep I might actually like, I listened to Matta's 'Prototype' yesterday. It was recommended to me as something that I would definetly get into. And I tried but...it's still the same old stuff, man. The bass is fun, but I prefer heavy bass is doom and drone, and as for electronic music dubstep is just too slow to be as good as than gabba or speedcore, and too fast to be as good as ambient and dark industrial stuff...I think the genre is a lost on me.

  3. The only place in my town that had a bunch of 2nd hand vinyl got rid of it all not long ago too. Sucks. My favourite record store is Probe in Liverpool, but that doesn't seem right since it moved awhile back. Picked up the latest Fat Worm of Error LP and the recent Propagandhi split recently, and the new Boris 2xLP will be winging it's way to me shortly. All bought online though!...

  4. I finished my FemShep renegade game the other day, really enjoyed being a bitch to everyone. Going to do a paragon run but totally **** up the ending so I have a save to try out when ME3 comes around

  5. I watched the lookout tonight. It was very watchable

Which is entirely down to Joseph Gordon Levitt, right

I watched The Bourne Identity for the first time last night, it was pretty good. Got the other 2 to go later in the week. Some people couldn't believe I've never seen them before, I didn't think it was staggeringly good or anything though. Maybe they get better?

  6. Ocarina of Time 3D includes Master Quest

We still know surprisingly little about the remake of Nintendo's most highly-acclaimed game, in particular whether there will be any substantial new content beyond revamped graphics and some control and level design tweaks.

But speaking to Conservative New Media (don't ask us) in a YouTube interview Nintendo of America's PR manager David Young confirmed that the game would include the Master Quest - previously only ever released on a bonus disc that came with GameCube game The Wind Waker.

Master Quest was originally intended as an expansion to the original Ocarina Of Time on the Nintendo 64. But it was designed to work for the weird 64DD peripheral and when that never got released neither did Master Quest.

An alternative version of the original game, Master Quest uses the same graphics and basic plot as Ocarina Of Time, but rearranges the dungeons and increases the difficulty.

Whether there'll be any wholly original additions to Ocarina Of Time 3D we don't know, but Nintendo did recently pin down its release date to sometime in June - in the U.S. at least.

Nice. I played the Gamecube version of OoT which came with WW, as I also avoided the N64 like the plague

  7. Link's Awakening I think.

Like I said, never completed it.

This was one of the first games I had on the GB, loved it. There was a really simple cheat where, as you moved from one screen to the next, and pressed 'select' you would warp to the end of the next screen. Which meant you could bypass bosses and puzzles you couldnt do :D Although it also meant you could get stuck in walls and stuff...I imagine they probably fixed this in the GBA version.

Seeing as you never finished it though, and seeing as it is now very very old, I'll just out and tell you - IT WAS ALL A DREAM

  8. if it ends up like left 4 dead then im going home.

If you missed my quote on the last page (from Gamecentral in case anyone was wondering) that's nearly it, yeh. A "Silly, Wacky, and Goofy light-hearted zombie basher" D:

  9. In what may prove to be most misleading trailer of all time, it seems that Dead Island is aiming to be a light-hearted zombie basher along the lines of Dead Rising, rather than the sombre heart-wrencher that the trailer implies.

A number of American previews turned up at the weekend, but perhaps the most revealing was IGN's, which attempted to sum up the game in just three words. Those words were: 'Silly. Wacky. Goofy.'

It turns out the game is a first person hack 'n' slash with a focus on action rather than drama. Left 4 Dead is also an influence, with a four-player co-operative mode. You pick a class when starting the game and remain immune to zombification for its entirety.

Instead of the haunting piano music from the trailer the real game has a heavy metal soundtrack.

It's all starting to sound as if the team making the game had no idea what the ones doing the CGI trailer were up to, and vice versa.

Perhaps most damning is the news that the holidaying family from the trailer aren’t even in the game.

'It shows no one is safe,' said a Techland developer to website Kotaku. 'Some people made it out, but some didn't and the family dies. That may be difficult to accept.'

Judging by the letters we're already starting to get in about it in the Inbox, we suspect Techland are going to need to do a massive U-turn on all this if they're to keep people on board.

Looks like some of our fears may be realised !

  10. Not sure where to put it.. but Vs Man City being there in the away stand. It was horrible watching that Poznan thing, it was very effective, fairly humourous and looked great from their point of view.. wish we could think of something similar (not saying start doing the Poznan...unless we score vs Citeh) but something similar that is weird

You mean everyone taking their shoes off and waving them in the air doesnt look effective and fairly humourous?

  11. Shit ginger lion, shit ginger liiiiiiionnnnnn

NRC motm for me, we shouldve drawn at the least, despite the defense. I'm (not) lookin forward to seeing Bent's early miss...I have no idea how he didn't slide it past the keeper. Really needed one of Cullar/Dunne/Collins in there, who is next due back? Call me naive but I don't think we wouldve conceded more than 1 with 2 of them in the team

  12. You could get a train from Kirkdale (closest train station to Goodison & Anfield) to Liverpool Central (next to Clayton Square, just down the road from Lime Street). If you're wondering, no there isn't a train from Kirkdale that goes to Lime Street.

I've never done that before myself though, so don't know what it would be like for tickets - I wouldn't be surprised though if it's like at Aston & Witton, where they check tickets on the journey in but not the journey out.

Don't have a clue about Buses though...I'll be walking in from town and back again :D

  13. Good test for McSweeney in Ricco Rodriguez tonight on BAMMA too. Havent seen Ricco fight in years actually, but he's on a big winning streak

Just read that the UFC Fight Night in March is headlined by Lil Nog vs. Phil Davis, been really impressed whenever I've seen him, look forward to that one
