I think we were by far the better team and more than a little unlucky. There were two possible red cards that, if only one had been given, would have deflated what was a very average manure side. Furthermore, the cross would never have been made for the equaliser! Points wise I'd say: Brad....7 L.Young....7 Dunne....6 (still the occasional glaring error that could cost us) Collins....7 Warnock....7 Hogg....7 Bannan....7 Downing 8.... Albrighton....8 A.Young....7 Gabby....7 Solid performance all round, but could and should have been 3 points. At least Evra will have a sleepless night tonite!

Does'nt matter....GH would'nt have played him anyway probably! Had us down for a draw last night and don't feel any different today, but this is Villa we're talking about. Struggle against sides we should be beating out of sight and stepping it up for the big boys. Lets hope that particular pattern repeats itself today.

We could be our own worse enemy again tomorrow, of course. You don't get second chances against Utd and our lot are making pretty heavy weather of turning any chance at all into goals. Ash and Downing will definitely get at them, but we need to put them away.....or they WILL do us yet again. Like to say 2-1 Villa, but a draw seems more realistic. Oh for a sympathetic ref (as if!)

Quite honestly......3 points is 3 points at this moment. We're creating chances aplenty, but not putting them away and sometimes just winning a game can turn that around. So it was Blackpool 'reserves.....so what? How many people, if they were honest, would have taken a dodgy 1-0 before kick-off? Far as I'm concerned its a win, 3 points and I'd rather be playing utd on the back of a victory.......any victory.

This. Ireland HAS to be given the chance to prove himself for more than the odd ten minutes here and there.By his showing at Fulham, I think we would have possibly won the game convincingly had he had longer. Ash is a pretty tireless grafter and, admittedly, he's proved the difference a few times for us but its a bit obvious to all when his form does dip.
