Brilliant day at VP yesterday. Watkins unplayable and bouncing round the pitch so confident. Moreno is absolutely class, what a great signing! McGinn, Luiz and Ramsey all on top form with Dendoncker putting in the unseen dirty work to help them tick. Mings and Konsa are playing their best football for us. Ashley Young completing his 4th game in 2 weeks with no drop in his levels. Martinez made the necessary saves with little fuss and his distribution (particularly to the full backs) has come on leaps and bounds since Emery came in. Also loved Duran coming on and crunching someone for a late booking. No idea how Burn didn’t get about 5 yellow cards, ref let them get away with loads. They looked rattled from the Watkins chance on 28 seconds and we were relentless in battering them.

Unai gets a 10/10. Great atmosphere too!

John McGinn MOTM, what a turnaround in form from him of late, well done John - back to the player we loved in the championship! Thought Moreno was great, Emi and the rest of the defence too. Luiz reeks class as always and Ramsey had his best game under Emery so far. Another top performance by Watkins, good stat that only Salah, Kane and Son have scored more PL goals than him since he joined Villa.

Loving what Unai is doing and gutted I can’t make the Forest game next weekend!

The club should definitely do cheap tickets for the semi final vs Chelsea and try and fill as much of VP as possible. £10/£5 adult/child could do the Holte, lower/mid trinity and lower north?

Finally got round to watching Succession. Finished S1 last night, so good!

Probably worth mentioning that the last train out to Aston is at 12:36 and there’s one train back to New Street from Witton at 16:59 and nothing else due to the strikes.

Had a 7 fold 50p EW yday, 4 winners 3 placed yet only returned £16… max returns were 7k

Great away performance. Soaked up early pressure and then hit them with two killer blows in the second half. Buendia MOTM for me.

They could just knock the Holte Suite through and that would expand the lower holte concourse. It can very crowded down there as I would guess it is less floor space than the upper tier, with a couple more thousand spectators. 

Holte Suite is great and would hate to see it taken away or have to be paid extra for! Much better option than the concourse both pre-match and at half time.

Surely Ings and Coutinho can score a few between them. Ings hat trick 11/1, Coutinho brace 12/1. Augustinsson 12/1 anytime scorer  seems decent value after his effort midweek.

There never really is big demand for 3rd round ties against lower league opposition. 20-25k is generally the standard attendance. Possibly not helped too by 3 homes games in 9 days, I.e. if you're to miss one I'd imagine the Stevenage game is the one most would chose.

Yeah I just thought all the spares would get snapped up given how difficult it is to get match tickets at the moment if you’re not a ST holder/member.
