  1. They’re my favourite band so I’m bound to be biased but all the people complaining about the set list/style… clearly haven’t been paying attention for the last 5 years. They’ve evolved musically and, whilst if I was there I’d be a little frustrated that they effectively treated it as just another night on the current tour rather than a special Glasto set (saw them in Manchester and Sheffield this month with better set lists than last night), people shouldn’t be expecting a 2006 style set. The common moan that he’s singing at a different tempo to the recorded versions so people can’t sing along… get a grip!

I hate the term Bazball. Just sounds like something a West Ham fam would say

As far as I’m aware it was invented by a smug man called Andrew Miller on the ESPN switch hit podcast, makes me like it even less. The team don’t like it either.

Aussies were rollicking along but those three wickets, especially Labu and Smith, leave it poised nicely for tomorrow. Poor from Head sending in the nightwatchman when Root strolled out to bat in a storm yesterday. Root this morning btw, how lucky we are to get to watch such an incredible player.

Edgbaston has an Ashes Test in 2027 but not 2031.

London of course has 2 in both series at Lords and The Oval. Why? Why is The Oval absolutely guaranteed to have a test in every series assuming Lords is undroppable.

Weirdly Trent Bridge also has a 2027 and 2031 Test.

For me Lords, Old Trafford and Edgbaston ought to be nailed on and then let the rest fight it out for the other 2.

Southampton has one in 2027. Presumably to sell corporate spots at the hotel. Two in London and one in Southampton is rubbish, should be at least one at Headingley or Old Trafford each time.

Looking at tickets for the Edgbaston Ashes test which has obviously had very high demand seeing tickets sold out for days 1-4.

Day 5 however has loads of tickets available at just £25.  Of course tests rarely go the full 5 days anymore (especially when you factor in Bazball) but just wondering why they haven't been snapped up?  Especially when you consider the likelihood of rain  pushing things back when cricket is played in this country.

£25, full refund if less than 15 overs bowled (50% is <30) and the potential chance to see a memorable ending to an test match Ashes test match.  Seems a no brainer  *I say, waiting for someone to tell me the catch (oof pun)

That’s the way I see it. Got Day 5 tickets for Headingley, Old Trafford and The Oval - it’s either money back or you get to see an exciting end to the test match (series in the case of the latter).

My boss's boss's boss has floated an idea which is on par with "what if we built a car with triangular wheels" and despite my protests and detailed explanations, I'm being expected to spend a week giving it a go in good faith instead of explaining to him that he's an idiot. He's quite new and neither of his subordinates seem willing to rock the boat even though they also realise that he's an idiot.

On the plus side, I'm going to put my feet up and not work too hard this week.

    Combining marketing with sales?

  5. Frustrating to lose two in a row but there wouldn’t be such despondency if those defeats had been spread across the 12 games rather than back to back now. Not looking likely for Europe I’ll admit given the fixtures but let’s try and beat Spurs and see where we stand after that.

How much did you have in your bank????

I set up for it by doing Kane-Isak midweek. Should’ve saved that for this weekend really - made the transfer a couple of hours before they sacked Stellini and thought Man Utd were going to batter them. Cost me 10 points with Kane getting both assists and 3 bonus, while Isak was a sub vs Everton then robbed of an assist by the site when he came on!

I don’t see the point in referee ratings on here. 11% say “very poor” and 35% day poor? Not sure he got anything wrong. The unqualified dislike of referees is tiresome to me and a big reason why no one wants to do it and the quality is dropping.

Fulham were given two goal kicks late on in front of the Holte which should’ve 100% been corners. The Fulham defender high fived the keeper after clearing one of them! Hence my very poor rating - get the basics right.

I think the club might be hoping that quite a few supporters will want to move out of the Upper Holte because they don't want to stand in the rail seating and might go to the Lower Holte to make room.

The lower Holte where everyone stands the whole game anyway, no idea why they’re not putting rail seating in there.

The most annoying thing about all this is definitely the morons who say things like "Oh you want Champions League football, pay more for a ticket". Imbeciles.

This is a drop in the ocean. It kills normal fans but is a drop in the ocean for a PL football club that has billionaire owners and guaranteed £120m a year coming in.

Hate to think how much they’re going to charge for potential European matches. On the renewal page there is an option to auto-enrol on to the cup scheme but there’s no pricing information there.

  10. This looks nice but not justifiable for the price. Especially with the ticket increases too. Will continue to use the Holte Suite for free (until the start charging extra for that too!)

Really annoying that they’re selling it as if the wifi is a major benefit. Being able to check your phone in the ground should come as standard!

Interesting that from the virtual tour of it, the inside looks v similar to the hospitality but inside the new stand at Anfield (had a few work events in there) - wonder if Purslow was involved in that too or maybe these kind of sections look the same everywhere.

  11. It’s definitely a kick in the teeth when public sector pay is stagnant, I will renew but it means cutting back elsewhere. Not looking good for wanting to take my son in a few years either if the increases keep coming.
