The lack of attention to detail even affects the TV screens, which wished us a “save” journey home after the game on Saturday!

Lower Holte screens - yellow ticker of ‘latest news’ at the Hibs game was about a Hundred cricket game that had taken place ten days previously

Aston Villa are delighted to confirm Sunday's FIFA Women's World Cup final will be screened live at Villa Park!

The Lionesses made it through to this weekend's big game by beating Australia in the semi-final earlier this week, and they will have their sights firmly set on making history.

Aston Villa Women's very own Rachel Daly and Jordan Nobbs are part of Sarina Wiegman's 23-player squad and will be hoping to contribute to what could be a monumental day for the country.

And you can watch the team in action at Villa Park!

The game will be screened live in the Lions Square Fan Zone, situated in the Trinity Road Stand forecourt, from 11am ahead of the Premier League clash between Villa and Everton at 2pm.

So why not head down early and cheer the Lionesses to victory?

A very Gestapo-like controlled collection process. If it is Hibs I'm not sure why the same process as a PL/FA Cup/League Cup away can't be initiated? Let people obtain tickets and allow them to spend their day as they please rather than treating every fan like a criminal!

Apparently this is current standard procedure for away European ties

  4. Just left the ground to head home. So disappointing. It was dry when I arrived but they decided to start at 1 after lunch - nobody needed a break at that time! Real damp squib when we should’ve cruised this match - absolutely battered them. Make sure to win next week.

  5. Great day at OT. Shame Jonny was stranded but is 99* better than a century in the banter ashes? Strange that Wood didn’t bowl for ages but seems Stokes got it right as he nipped a couple out. Woakes was magnificent as ever (with the ball!)

Rainy day to recover tomorrow (for me!) then back there again on Sunday! Next wicket crucial as Marsh was looking solid - different animal though with a whole (rain affected) day ahead of him whereas it was a simple task to bat out tonight.

Forecast was for 3 hours of rain today and we had about 20 mins. Hope the pattern continues on Sunday.

  6. Finished Succession last week. Thought it had a bit of a lull around the end of S2 but 3 and 4 were excellent.

Also watched Champion, all episodes on iplayer - would recommend - rinsed through it in a few days and a great soundtrack too.

  7. I went on Sunday, great day although it didn’t feel so good when Jonny was out with still so many needed and only 4 wickets left. Excellent from Brook, Woakes and Wood.

Jimmy in for Robinson is the only change i’d make for the next one. Would’ve thought Broad might need a rest but no signs of it so far.
