  1. A defeat for Cardiff tonight could finally see them have the wobble we've been hoping for.

I just don't see villa holding up our end of the bargain by winning all of our remaining games or where Fulham will drop points. I think Fulham will finish second.

    RIP Ray, Chelsea legend.

I suppose the roads will be slightly safer now..

Wow, what an unnecessarily harsh thing to say at this time. Could you not have just said RIP Day, Chelsea Legend? Or were you trying to get some laughs in a condolences thread??

    Anyway, RIP Ray.

    Almost certainly playoffs but...

If Wolves beat Cardiff and Villa beat Norwich at the weekend and then, if we beat Cardiff on Tuesday we'll be one point behind them by this time next week.

A lot of 'Ifs' but not outside the realms of possibility.

Then it would be a 3-way shootout between Villa, Cardiff and Fulham for the second auto slot.

Except Fulham will most likely be miles ahead of both us and Cardiff by then

Three weeknight matches in the next week and a half. All fairly meaningless. Becoming a bit of a chore now. I expect another crowd of 30,000 people feeling the same as I do and a consequently crap atmosphere and poor match which we might or might not win.

    Good that you're so positive

  5. If we lose or draw, everyone will lambast Bruce and his tactics, stating how we've blown the automatics and probably won't even make the playoffs. If we win, several members will post fixtures, stats, form guides showing how we are now guaranteed automatic promotion.

  6. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but Cardiff can get a max of 103 points (assuming they win tonight), Fulham 93 and villa 91. That means if we win the rest of our games, Cardiff Will have to lose 4 for us to finish above them, with Fulham dropping 3 points.im discounting wolves. Can't see it unfortunately.

Whilst I can understand your sentiment to a point. You post does lack any compassion for those that have lost their lives.

Football match played, or that 7 year olds life back. I know what I'd pick.

Bit below the belt to suggest i have no compassion for those that have lost their lives.

Of course, goes without saying it is dreadful for anyone to lose a life.

Im simply saying this country are not ewuipped for any adverse change in weather, unlike most of our european neighbours

Canada and Scandinavian countries don't just grit the road. There is a big budget which goes towards keeping things moving, it's not just a case of gritting roads to stop this issue.

I have lived in northern sweden. They do not need to do that much, people just get on with it, unlike Britain with it's over the top scaremongering

The Wolves match is postponed due to a frozen pitch. I'm sure magic grit would have helped there too.

I meant our match against wolves. We dont need magic grit, just competence

You expect this country to spend billions on equipment for us to use once in a blue moon?

How often do countries in Scandinavia get snow compared to us? Same for Canada?

    Be a bit more logical.

Gritting the roads would not cost billions of pounds.

I despise Warnock and the way he has sent his players out to injure the opposition in the past. If he rocked up at Villa I would just fade away until he was sacked. Which maybe a bonus to my fellow fans :)

So you wouldnt enjoy promotion then??

  12. Warnock makes bruce look like the tactically inept manager he is. Both of them are 'dinosaurs' according to some on here, yet look where cardiff are with a shoestring budget - they keep winning. We have spent extraordinary amounts for a championship team, yet two players get injured and we crumble. If we get top 2 i would be stunned. Im sure we will finish top 6, but wont get past the semis as we cannot handle pressure against the top sides. We have historically been bottlers in our recent history which i fear is yet to continue under bruce
