The thought of having O'Neill back makes me shudder.
I'd really like to see us go with some progressive, out out of left field manager. May as well since Bruce was as proven as it gets at this level and look at how that turned out.
Interested to know why O'Neill makes you shudder? The best football we have played in the last 15 years or so was under O'Neill. Many happy memories of watching O'Neill's Villa.

First 7/8 games of the season he gets for me.
Overall I agree with your point but I worry that this amount of games under Bruce would be enough to eradicate our promotion hopes

Is o'hare on the bench?
We should score goals with mistake and blackett in their defence
-
If we win tonight how many of you will then decide Bruce should be given time?
-
Who will be the first one to start a relegation thread?
-
Richards signed as a cb. He played about 3 games as a rb. Crespo played one game so can't compare to hutton. The rest you mention are world beaters compared to Alan hutton. My point was the fact you have given him any ounce or shred of a compliment. I read what you said as I addressed it. Lapal fan...lol.
Furthermore I guarantee my knowledge of the English language far extends any level of education you have ever received stevo.

However, the fact that he puts himself about and can do the basics to an acceptable level some of the time means that in a limited league, he can perform to a fairly decent level
Your opinion...defending him.
Name a right back worse than him? Please?
Please could you also explain how I can't grasp English?
-
Ok. No more wind ups, I was just amusing myself...
Not sure how you have come to the conclusion that my grasp of English is poor?
I'm overweight and nowhere near the level needed for professional football. However, I run around, try hard, can pass and tackle. Should I be in the squad? With your opinions on Alan Hutton, it appears I should be!
He's clearly someone you don't rate for Aston Villa. Yet you clearly think he has proven himself enough to warrant some credit or value. That is worrying.
Can you name a right back that has been worse? I can't!
-
Well, you described him as fairly decent at this level...yet you then say he is crap and abysmal. Which is it?
What part of your body is the 'I love Alan Hutton' tattoo?
-
Wow Stevo. The irony here is that you are moaning about over exaggeration. Yet your response to me was littered in expletives whilst your tears of frustration soaked into your 'Hutton 21' shirt.
You are defending the indefensible. He is the laughing stock of this joke of a club. The cardiff game was just the straw that shattered the camels back. Managers and fans like you saying, We'll, he's ok at this level is part of the reason we are in such a mess. We are aston villa. We have been accepting mediocre and (in buttons case) consistently abysmal performances for way too long.

On Hutton, I think the exaggeration in this thread has gone into overdrive after the Cardiff game.
I've made it pretty clear that I don't rate Hutton very much and would gladly see him replaced. And he was awful against Cardiff.
But he has actually been fairly decent in the championship for us. Suddenly after the Cardiff game he's "the worst right back we have ever had" etc
Are you joking? I bet you've got his name and number on your shirt. Always out if position, makes crucial mistakes, no idea how to communicate with the rest of the defence....but it's ok because he tries hard...
Do you think Micah Richards is going to win the Ballon D'or??

Am I missing something?? Some of you were considering him for last season's player of the year!!!
He is one of the worst players I have seen at VP in my time watching (26 years). For me he epitomizes the mess this club has been in for the last 6 years!!

Agreed
-
Completely isolated with noservice. Feem so sorry for him
-
Moyes would be even more of a giant step backwards. Saying that, I genuinely don't know who could sort us out

Whoever received the pass on the edge of the box had a crap touch.
-
He is too stuck in his ways with the old guard - Hutton, gabby, Whelan, terry. O'hare will barely get a look in. We'll probably send him out on loan
-
This thread seems to imply that Bruce will definitely be sacked. In my opinion I can't see him going for at least 2 or 3 months. Cos, wyness and round have invested to much in him to just get rid so quickly. 10 months is quick in my opinion!

Absolutely guaranteed we will play blues away in October or November and blues at home April or may

Get Scott Carson from derby. Solid gk. Been excellent for derby this year and was the fans player of the season.
-
Sorry if this is a stupid q...but Scott Brown got sent off, banned for 3 games. Celtic lodge an appeal, and therefore he is allowed to play against rangers whilst waiting for his appeal.
Could we have not done this with kodija?
-
I reckon that keeps zola in the job a little longer....

Can tell you now that xia will throw as much money as necessary to ensure promotion this year. His plan all along is to get us up, make us a force again and then sell us on. It is not within his biz plan to spend a 2nd yr in the championship. We will be sold if we don't go up this yr

Sorry...this is twitter...his personal twitter account. He can write whatever he likes and people calling him pathetic are wayyy over the top. If it was an official statement via the club then fair enough!
