I dont understand why were still saying players wont come to a relegation threatened side, look at QPR and Newcastle? Both signing players that we would happily welcome to our team, dont think our position in the table is the problem

In fact only a day or two ago Pat Murphy said the opposite, as have Nursey and a few others and that's just the ones I'm aware of and I dont pay that much attetion to the press.

I dont expect you to trust me and quite frankly it doesn't bother me. I just know that what I've been told is solid and more reliable than any journalist or fantasist.

Lambert spoke about not getting anyone in a few days ago, Lerners recent policy has been we need to cut costs. Pat Murphy says a different thing every day, as does Kendrick and Nursey.

Tell me who your 'source' is and your relationship to them and I might trust you. I think you are just attention seeking on a forum though...

I see no facts, just (negative) opinions. I can understand the negativity but there are no facts there.

Lambert, Lerner, Various Journo's, it is clear from the clubs actions (to me) that there is nothing available. I probably am exaggerating and being negative but right now, the only person I can see that is telling me the club have money to spend is you...no offence but that doesn't fill me with huge confidence. I hope I am proved wrong though.

None of that midfield 3 are CMs. Would be torn apart. Agree with playing 3 in the middle though

I see your point but Ireland is a CM. Warnock is not but has experience of being a DCM. NZogbia is in there because I wanted to be attacking. They are imo the best 3 options as Bannan, Herd and Delph are terrible, terrible football players.

Who would you suggest they is realistically 'gettable'.

According to the general consensus, we have little or no money to spend, and a two pence piece for wages.

To me that suggests league 1/2players and maybe the scrapings of the championship. At least Derry has prem experience and experience of a relegation fight.

Wow...I'm a school teacher myself, and reading this forum I feel like I'm going to have to tell you all off. Petty squabbling on an internet forum really does make you look small time.

Back on track. I think if Vlaar and Dunne can get back to full fitness then the need for a CB will be reduced until the summer. We are desperate for somebody in midfield who can get stuck in and is not lightweight, overpaid and distinctly average at best (ala Delph, Bannan, Ireland).

I would personally (without sounding mad) go for someone like Shaun Derry on a short term contract. Will be soon ousted at QPR, no nonsense, gets stuck in, has experience of a relegation battle.

All of you who are thinking about top european players like Sissoko and Coutinho are not being realistic. We are about to be shunted out of the Premier League and we are not attractive to any top players. We need a bit of experience and a bit of fight. Aim for the likes of Coutinho in the summer after a bit of investment.

on topic...my point was that it seems odd to me that they don't appear to be at training very much during the week. I assume they are doing other things though, but what i'm not sure. i trust lambert however that we will come good.

That's Thursday last week, Friday last week and now today they haven't been training. Maybe there's a good reason for it, but when we have 1 point from 3 games I think they should be training more

He obviously has players that are capable (looking at their win rate towards the end of the season).

How can he not do this at all consistently during the first 4/5 months of the season?
