I thought Carew did well today in that he a ctuallt put a bit of effort in, looked a threat up front and brought others into the game well. I'd have thought it would be quite obvious as to why Warnock played in that O'Neill wants to give him game time to get match fit ahead of the final and this being against a lower standard of team makes it almost the perfect game for him to come back in. I thought Downing was excellent today providing most creativity in our side and with a fantastic delivery from set pieces.

I went with Laursen because it was virtually impossible to get past him. Dunne has been immense in a similar way but I always have that sense that he os going to make a rash decision or miss the ball even though he has made few errors for us but he made a lot for City. I think I would have to see a player for at least a season anyway to say he was better than Laursen.

Always like watching the 6 nations (shame it clashes with the football as football always wins) and hope England can do well and at least beat the French and Scots.

Shame if that is squad as I wanted a back 4 of Young Dunne Collins and Warnock purely because Young carries more attacking threat than Carlos and Collins is against former club and is much better at passing from the back than Carlos.

Just read a weather report which says by mid-morning most snow and sleet should be in the south-east so that should give Blackburn some time to lay salt on surrounding roads.

eh. Why? His injury was reported to be "whiplash". if recovered, why would he thn not be able to last 90 mins? I suppose if he has revocered it shouldn't matter but all sources I looked at said he was unlikely to play.

I was slightly surprised to see Warnock starting tbh and I can't see him lasting the full 90 although it shouldn't be too much trouble if he can't.
