I'm not going to slate you or Randy for crap that comes out in the press as we don't know what effort has been made to secure a manager.

However, I will agree that if you check the voting system 4 people out of 611 so far want McLaren as manager. I would also imagine that it has nothing to do with being linked with Ancelotti. As such, I'm really hoping he hasn't even made the shortlist for an interview.

I'm mortified at any possibility that McLaren could be our manager and feel sick whenever his name is mentioned in the press.

So far 0.65% of those who have voted want him - a shocking statistic. Let's hope the execs at our club read some of the opinions and figures on here.

Hughes should definitely be a no now. He clearly is whoring himself out to the highest bidder citing "ambition" as the leading factor. Such a load of crap. Let Chelsea massage his ego and we'll go for a Moyes, Ancelotti or Jol.

Really hoping that something is announced this week and that Randy is flying in to appoint the right man and sort out Young's contract/departure.

Durham is such a wankbag. So we have to settle for someone like McLaren as we aren't in the CL.

I really want us to sign Ancelotti now just to piss off Adrian Durham on Talkshite who is going to spend the next 3 hours belittling us.

As it's not likely to be Hughes it has to be one of Moyes, Jol or Ancelotti.

Can you imagine the uproar if either GMAC or McLaren were given the job?

Hughes will leave before the end of the month because Fulham will want to sort their new manager out before then too.

I'm happy with Hughes. Considering that the other options are Ancelotti (maybe we've approached him but can't afford him), Jol (unsure) and McLaren (bellend).

Would be great if MON went to Fulham, particularly for Sidwell.

Let's hope that if it is Ancelotti the only thing GMAC will be required to do will be to give the manager a celebratory reacharound after each win.

TalkSport just stated that SKY Italia reporting Ancelotti will be Villa manager. Most likely BS but gets my penile juices flowing.

As long as it's not McAllister or McLaren I'd be happy.

Imagine the uproar each week if RL game the job to GMAC. I think some of the fans would request a transfer let alone the players.

Hopefully if Hughes does come here he wil bring Hangeland & Stockdale wiith him.

I have a very good feeling about Mark Hughes. After the season we've had the last thing we need is to spend an age mulling over GH's replacement.

If MH comes in he will have a huge rebuilding job to do at VP and I would be very excited to see what happens this summer.

I'm still hoping we can pull a rabbit out of a hat... The rabbit being Andre Villas-Boas. His name has Villa in it... Must be fate!

I'd think it would be a shame that i'm not going to see my children grow up then disapear to the shed and blow my brains out.

No to Allardyce for me simply because he divides opinion so much. We need a manager that the majority of fans will get behind.

Moyes for me. If nothing other than to show the Everton fans that we are an attractive big club with lots of potential and not just a sideways step.

I would be surprised if the club didn't listen to fans opinions on this one after going so left field with GH.

RL will look for the best candidate regardless of whether they are out of work or not. The reason we went for an out of work manager last time was because it was 5 days before the start of the season and it would have looked terrible on us to knacker another team so close to the beginning of the campaign.

Moyes for me too. Has to be the best man for the job and he has proved that he can take teams with little money and make them play attractive successful football.

I'm not ITK or have any real reason why I think it but looking at some of the other ITK's on here my guess is as good as others.

Alternatively I think that Houllier will stay as manager.

First we hear Pires' hissy fit about not being played and now Salifou is being released.

How do you expect the club to move forward next season with our 2 "world class" players leaving the club?
