My favourite bit of this saga so far has been Pannu slandering us in the media saying that we have to pay them £5m or he will report us to the PL. So according to him we're guilty of tapping up his manager and is accusing RL of meeting AM in Corsica.

We should sue his fat ass.

Just makes me wonder exactly what sort of power Al-Fayed has over Randy. Did he teach Karate as a teenager Mr Miyagi style?

So we don't go for Jol, a free agent who would have been welcomed by a good % of fans, probably because Fulham were after him. And now that they have their 1st choice from last season, we still can't talk to Mark Hughes about the Villa job. Why show Fulham so much respect yet we shit on Peter Pannu's doorstep?

Doesn't make sense to me, which is why I think the McLeish stories are just that. I think it would be a very bad move on the boards part to appoint McLeish just to say that they got one over on our biggest rivals. That would be grossly misreading the fans desires and would backfire as I'd imagine that most of the fans of Blues are happy to see him go.

Can we have a simple poll on this? Just a 'Do you want Alex Mcleish as manager? Yes/No'

However, I would also not vote for McLeish. Purely because his football is rubbish and his track record when given funds is questionable at best.

I would also prefer Mark Hughes to take the roll as although he is less successful, he comes with far less baggage. Apart from that nob-jockey Kia Joorabchian.

What has happened so far is that BCFC contacted us asking us what our position on McLeish was now he had resigned. We e-mailed back saying that as he was a free agent we could speak to him if we wished to.

Our club has made one statement regarding the 8 managers we have been linked with so far, and that was because of Dave Whelan's big mouth.

At the moment we should not make any statements as anything from our club will only justify Peter Pan's ranting.

I find it impossible to believe that we will hire McLeish as manager given how much of a risk it would be. We have just come off the back of a very difficult season under GH and the last thing we should do is hire a manager who is not backed by the majority of fans.

There is no way Moyes will get a top 4 job. The media just assume it's the Top 4 plus Liverpool and Spurs and nobody else. We are a BIG club and a manger of Moyes' ability would jump at the chance to try and get us back to the glory days.

According to talkSHITE Randy is now in talks with Bob Bradley over the vacant manager's position. Well that would certainly fulfill the PL experience criteria.

This could be the turning point to what has been a horrible 12 months as a Villa fan.

Moyes announced tomorrow and I'll definitely be getting sacked for shagging my laptop at work.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but the Everton fan who said Moyes is resigning tomorrow also set that there is an emergency Press Conference at Finch Farm tomorrow so this must be the reason for it.

How true that is I don't know. I'd still think it's a massive **** up on RL's part if he hires McLeish given the morale highground we allegedly took over Hughes quitting.

Please can you tell me if Randy's desire for integrity is consistent. I only say this because it is clear why he was put off signing Hughes, and rightly so in my opinion. However I just wanted to point out that McLeish quit his post today via email. Surely not a great way to act.

(That is of course unless he is off to Bolton/Everton and one of their manager's is heading our way for the necessary compensation)

So we discount a manager who hands in a month's notice when his contract expires but will give the job to someone who quits by email.

If McLeish came I'd be very disappointed. Yes he won the CC with them last season but he still got relegated. Plus he's a bellend.

With Hughes and Benitez being available I would be mortified if McLeish was even being considered.

Plus there's no way i'd want Randy to give them any money for anything other than Dann or Foster.

For me Moyes over Hughes by quite a distance purely because Hughes will ditch us the minute a better job becomes available. His agent is Kia Joorabchian and I don't trust that prick.

We shall see. Would be amazing to sign Moyes this weekend then listen to smug Adrian Durham on talkSPORT on Monday claiming how horrible we are for tapping him up.

It will be Moyes. After the most painful 12 months as a Villa fan this will be the start of an excellent spell under a top manager. If anyone thinks Moyes is destined for Man Utd then they are forgetting about Mourinho & Guardiola.
