Yes I remember one last season but did he not get a similar one vs Leeds too?
West Ham away?

Boredom probably, we haven’t got a poor manager to argue over now!
Give it a few hours.

Such cultural ignorance from our fan base could result in Unai storming out and who could blame him? I believe though he would be delighted by castanets played to a crescendo in the stands and the Spanish guitar for post match drinks in the players lounge. Perhaps we could throw in a few Basque separatist ditties once we go three goals up on Sunday? Too much?
Castanets and guitar are more of a Andalusian/southern Spain thing. Basque would be things like pipes, pandero (tambourine) and accordion.

The shape of the "lamp" could be a bit more distinct and aggressive, but 1 is at least not a complete snooze like 2.

A couple of pages back someone posted the link to an article from the Birmingham Mail that suggested Guilbert was still training with the under 21’s
Probably no one's told him about poor Fred.

What did Gollini say about coaches?
Left at least in part because we wouldn't get him an Italian-speaking GK coach after Battara left with RDM.

It’s a shame at half-time the Holte did not do the Jimmy Rimmer, Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy chant but I suppose a lot of people don’t remember
The people old enough to remember are too old to remember.

Guys, I am also really happy, but this was one game. I mean, long may it continue, but a swallow does not a Summer make as they say. Encouraging and and excellent reaction to the sacking, but still. Let's not get too carried away.
Would've made mine.

Connected some passes and got involved which is better than normal as of late, would've liked to see Sanson get some minutes but leaving McGinn out completely probably would've been a bad move in terms of morale.

Purty good.

... and McGinn isn't.
I dunno, he's looked more and more miserable each game since being made captain, may be a relief to him as well.

Club posted highlights of our home win against Brighton first season back a day or so ago which heavily featured Freddie, thought he might be lined up for a return. Would certainly rather see him given a shot than another CB stuck out there or a questionably fit and out-of-form Cash.

Can we petition for a Doug the Redeemer statue after the sacking?

If he doesn't get at least one of McGinn and Ramsey off, there's no hope of gaining any kind of foothold in this game. Bailey, too.

You know there won’t be.
I get out of the shower every morning and feel a glimmer of hope that the Villa app notification waiting for me might be that he's gone, but it never is.

Firstly I’d like to see Gerrard sacked, but secondly I’d like to see McGinn benched for literally anyone.

Garde never stood a chance, though. That squad (and the whole club) was a shambles by that point. Stevie G has an expensive squad full of intern... uh, former internationals.

I hope to god we bring someone in to look after the football side of things.
Purslow is great on the commercial side, let him stick to that!
That was the warning from Liverpool fans. Despite his strengths, he won't keep his nose out of the footballing side.

Not hugely arsed about it as we got the league win, but still annoying to see another collapse. Emery will have learned a LOT about his squad from that.
