I think he's trying to get it to Digne in space once he realizes he can't go to Olsen, just too awkward by that point and hits it too flat.

Great goal, decision making otherwise a bit dodgy, was unfortunate to get no protection from the ref when being fouled and pulled back constantly.

Spot - on. Losing Tielimans so early was a big blow. We certainly lost some momentum from that and then to come out for the 2nd half without Emi, you just knew it was going to be a struggle. I'm still trying to work out why Tim didn't close down and prevent that 2nd goal.
Caught in two minds between Gallagher and Palmer.

Know what we were trying to do, but minus Youri then Emi plus Doug playing awfully meant we had no control even in a defensive stance. Seemed like everyone's first touch was non-existent, too.

Definitely playing to conserve energy and spring the counter here, but also can't get the ball to stick anywhere.

The group's debut will be at the Bournemouth game mate.
Fear not, no drums.
Just flags, banners, and noise!
No vuvuzelas? Shame.

Players can't handle pressure.
Ref was rancid.

Lowton away at Stoke was just a phenomenal strike:
Lowton scored another great volley against someone for us, too, but can't recall who off the top of my head.
Ron Vlaar scored a fantastic daisy cutter from 30-35 yards in the 6-1 v Sunderland, one of the more memorable goals of that era for me.

Of course not. We all die in the end.

Though i do find the mental image of a respected executive constantly using the term c********r as if he is 12 years old and just discovered the word
He's fresh off a decade in Philly. It's believable.

I thought his passing was pretty good really and he was finding Watkins between the lines really well.
But his defending is unaffecting at best. Strangely a more technical defender than imposing himself for as big as he is.He's always been a ball playing defender with good recovery pace... which I fear has left him post injury. He's not terribly tall and has never been strong in the air nor inclined to go to ground, the defensive side of his game used to be more like Ezri's, cut off the angle, get between the player and the ball, shepherd them away or get in a block. I think opponents are just able to get away from him too easily now.

Hello from America. I hate United so much it's unreal.

Ought to have another assist for the first, played it off the post perfectly for SJM.

Hope he hasn't done any damage there, looked like his knee clattered the post.

Created a chance for himself with neat footwork and forced a good save, cut the ball back for Rogers' chance, beat his man and got a couple crosses in, that's solid improvement on his recent showings. Youri should've released him on that break, too.

Started getting forward and supporting the attack in the second which helped us. That blind pass to Palmer was shocking, though!

Scraped through, made it so hard on ourselves through plain ol' lapses in concentration again, really should've been out of sight given the chances created. Praise be to Duran's sensitive sole.

All we needed 2nd half was control and patience, all we did was play sloppier and sloppier til we completely undid ourselves. Awful performances throughout the team, and of course just had to be against the worst United side in decades.

Almada would be the closest to a classic 10 in our squad, similar to Buendia but arguably a bit more technical while being much less aggressive off the ball. He does essentially no defensive work whatsoever for Atlanta, as he's often been the main outlet for attacking play. Whether he can add that to his game is a major question, as he won't be able to get away with just waiting around for the ball to come to him in the Prem. He'd be great to have against low blocks, though, as he can play through tight spaces with both dribbling and passing and shoot from range effectively.

Has to do better with the late chance, think he's gotten into his own head a bit after not scoring last week.
