  1. Terrible decision, friggin awful, as for Villa......why are we coasting around the park, we look like a mini England pushing the ball around with long rangy passes, we should be going at them direct, Gabby is not being used for what he does best, Heskey?????????????. Absolutely demand we go out now and go straight for the throat, West Ham are weak not just in skill but physically they look like a team of little lads compared to the Villa lads...they are there for the taking.
  2. Have to say I'm really hoping for a top class performance from Gabby, the kind of thing he can turn on when you can instantly see he's up for it as he was v Man City last season, thought he was v B'ham this season, just feel he's been a little of with the goals recently and it would be fantastic to see him bury West Ham especially as Cole is the other end and it looks like it could be a toss between him and Gabby for the England place....why i don't know but there you have it.
  3. I hope not another draw and not at West Ham, have to say the 2 guys in your avatar would be my front 2, lets break the mould forget about the big fella in the box (Carew & Heskey) and hit and hope he gets on the end of for the goal, lets go for raw pace and power with Ash turning it on with a few dips of the shoulder into the box, Gabby in the channel and wack into the net, thank you and goodnight you Hammers.
  4. Very strange side West Ham, just don't know whats going to turn up, they are capable of playing a long run of crappy football no wins and then turn in a remarkable win v a top side, like a couple of seasons ago when they just about stayed up, last game of the season v Manchester Utd, Hammers have been rubbish for the whole season, Manchester Utd have been outstanding, a few mins before the end of the game Tevez scores the winning goal in a deserved victory that kept them up.
  5. rjshare: Get the impression Cole is not just doing it for his manager he desperately wants a world cup place, the battle between him and Collins will be one to watch. Always feel there is a kind of rivalry with The Villa v Hammers games could be down to who claims the colours this day thingy, looking forward to this one.
  6. Just a hunch, but i think this will be a very exciting game, West Ham can be a skillful side at home, equally Villa if they put there mind to it can be just as lethal, so it could be a real cracker with a good few goals. I would go with Young. Dunne. Collins. at the back, so we come to who's at LB, is there any way we could bring in another player at LB, Shorey maybe, bringing Warnock into the midfield ( left side) Reo Coker Petrov and Sidwell into midfield, i seriously would throw both Ash and Gabby up front, Speed and Power and tricky skill, both direct, obviously we have no stated winger but we do have a very solid midfield, we know we have a solid defence and it would be really interesting to see how Gabby and Ash form up as a duo up front, also this would be the last thing Wet Spam would be expecting!!!!Villa with no wingers, the very thought. Pure conjecture of course.
  7. Last 3 results have all been drawn, exception being extra time v Sunderland, IMO we should have taken 3 of Wolves and Everton for that matter obviously cup games can always throw up a surprise, for me this is a must win, we really should set about West Ham and get a good victory and i think Gabby needs to get another or 2 to keep his eye in, all this should be stitched onto a really good performance of solid attacking football that we are well capable of doing.
  8. Its actually difficult to believe that a Premiership club has 1 real striker I'm not getting at anybody or sh*t stirring, not being negative or over reacting to the game.... just making a real point. Heskey well!!!what can you say. Carew has for the present moment gone on holiday for a well earned rest because he's definitely not on the pitch. Delf: you can't really bring him into the equation. So 1 front man Gabriel Agbonlahor.
  9. Agree with points made about Carew, the guy is so relaxed he's practically horizontal, this has to be addressed in Jan, so does Sidwell and if Ash can't be more consistent then I have to say if the rumoured 25ml came in again for him ( I very much doubt that was true) take the money and run. Also agree with Reality post (think it was) we can't imagine that we are going to be sitting here in Feb/March praying on the match winner from Gabby every match, he must see how Carew is so switched of, Gabby will get to Feb and switch of himself, just like last season, and that will put paid to his world cup hopes.
  10. I'm giving you 10 for such a professional summing up, do you play football as well as you do a rating,
  11. Thought we looked knackered to be honest, I have to say I'm more p*ssed of that our defence conceded a goal, really am, 0-0 ok that's the way the cookie crumbles, friggin Sidwell. Thought Gabby again in the midst of so much mediocrity looked class is finishing to stop the ball turn and had the instinct to put it left of the keeper, F**king Good that was. Gabby 9 Collins 6 Petrov 6 Everybody else i'll rate when they turn up. I really don't get Ash Young, he's been playing well over the last couple of games, then reverts to classic LW...... utterly frustrating.
  12. MON really has to stay if you think about it, the squad is looking good, it turns out the players he got in during the summer are better than most of us imagined, not only that these players have bonded friggin remarkably fast even for players that have been playing in the same league for years its still be very fast, best buds after a couple of games, collins looks immense IMO and Dunne looks as though he's stepped up a huge step just coming under MON's influence, teams doing well, Gabby's is fast becoming a very top Premiership player, Ash Young, who I'd thought had faded, we are seeing a new side to his game, snapping at everybody, Petrov looks like he's on a crusade, my only concern is Carew, for me he's just a little relaxed, you have to say MON is working his magic, long may it continue.
  13. Soft spot for Wolves, was on the clubs books as a 14yr old, never forget Tommy Crump chief scout at the club at the time coming over to speak to my parents, came into the house, all having a cup of tea, me in the background, snotty kid, at the end of the meeting he looked at me and said (northern bloke) right lad, do you parents proud, get your hair cut, get your boots blacked, ( he meant don't piss about) work hard at school because there's no guarantees in football, even now the chances of making it into the full squad later are remote, bad knock, that's it, its all over, and don't give any lip to the senior players at the club. That said, what worries me so far is the way we have slipped up against teams we should have beaten and yet taken points of the major players............should be a good game, hope we can stretch our legs, we really need a big win, and for Gabby to get a couple of goals to get up there with the Premiership leading scorers
  14. Black Eye Peas..............Meet me half way, one of the best songs in a long time and BEP do it again, Video is fantastic Abstract and magical Fergie, wooooooooooow, she so sexy and needy in this, her desperate look and intense voice is mind blowing, if you haven't seen it have a look on YT.
  15. Tinker: Excellent link and report, not only is Gabby a top Premiership player IMO he's going much further than that, what this blogger probably couldn't get over is the fact that Gabby and Ash and Milner were one second defending in there own box and the next trying to ram the ball home in the Chelsea goal and wondering how they covered so much ground, actually i don't think Chelsea posses a player of Gabby's qualities, don't get me wrong Drogba can be a goal machine and so he should when you have so called world class midfielders feeding you, but does he really have anything else about his game. This was my point about Gabby and England, i really don't think Capello knows how to use Gabby, that was evident in the second half v Belarus, also i don't like his motives, but it shouldn't be a question of IF Gabby gets the plane it should be first choice Rooney Gabby etc. He'll never see that, my other concern is it has to be only a matter of time before top clubs around the world will want to sign Gabby.IMO.
  16. Thought Chelsea were very narrow today, ill thought out IMO, this diamond for' they are playing IMO leaves them on a very sticky wicket when playing a well organized defence and midfield as today, so narrow in fact it was like watching an old western with the Indians surrounding the wagon train every time they came forward, at one point i watched Bosingwa pick the ball up wide, move in field, tried to find a chelsea player, there must have been at least 4 standing in a tight bunch with no more than about 6ft between them, around them were Villa defenders, Bosingwa carried on with the ball right across the top of the penalty box finally ending up on the other wing, losing the ball to Milner. When they did break through, most of the time it was either a through pass or a break dead centre of the box followed by a longish but very straight shot to Friedal. IMO, bearing in mind, Chelsea would have expected to lift 3 points today, i think we out thought them and outplayed them in the important areas that matter, if you watch the game again we actually allowed them time on the ball in area's that was completely ineffectual. Again i couldn't knock any Villa player, everybody did a job, Collins and Dunne, just awesome, Gabby awareness is so sharp now that when he's faced with a marker standing on his heels, limiting is chances to score he switches to a real grafters role, and I used to think he was a bit slow on the up take, silly me.. 2 great set pieces from Ashley Young without which i dread to think, he's now developing a new role for himself IMO, just as well because Premiership defences are now onto him, Downing will prove to be a fantastic addition IMO he's made for Villa, bet he's watching these games and he's chomping at the bit to get out there. Excellent result....................
  17. Fantastic superb result, excellant team performance, I would definalty add Ash to the mentioned players, love this new feisty role he's taking on, couldn't give a crap how many are bad tackles and how many scalps he takes, brilliant result, Liverpool, Cheslea and Man city, don't get any better. Tells me one thing, a warning to the super 5, get us on a good day and your F**ked.
  18. I was in a bar in Barbados a few years back with some mates, there was a good group of us and we kind of merged with this group of stunning girls that were on a photo shoot for a very well known magazine, me and this one mate focused on 2 of these models mainly because the one girl was a gorgeous oriental/American girl, absolutely stunning, well i was getting well into this girl and her friend fortunately realised that i had not got a clue, her friend stepped forward, saying not everything in life is what you think it is, she put her hand down between this oriental girls legs who was wearing a very short skirt, finished just below the crutch, she grabbed the hem of the skirt, pulled it up, and i swear he had bigger nuts and bolts than me. Needless to say i was stunned even shocked, but what came next shocked me more, my mate who i had known all my life, and i was always aware of the fact he was a dog, turned to me standing there in shocked silence and said " look mate if you won't i facking will"
  19. Another massive game, we are into a mode of taking points of the title contenders, Liverpool, Man City, lets do the same v Chelsea, think this one is a real test, they are without Ballack, Cech is back, we need to go 4-5-1, really enjoyed the way Ash played v Man City, tackling back etc so he will be missed if out, lets face it when you play teams of this standard you should be at your very best. Be interesting to see how Gabby shapes up after the England game, have to say it, Gabby didn't look the same player for me, looked subdued, quiet, not asking anything of his fellow players, and when he was subbed his head went down. This is probably me reading to much into it nobody else watching the match i have spoken to didn't notice anything......lets hope. Happy to take point/ points from them.
  20. Calvin Harris, Ready for the Weekend, first i thought the blonde on the vid, couldn't really make my mind up, but after a while, she sort of grows on you, she seems really deep. Temper Trap, Sweet Disposition. excellent. Foo Fighters, Pretender, although i like anything David Ghroll (spelling) comes up with.
  21. Hope so, we had some bad news in the family, wife's side so have to wait and see, by all accounts you can get it live on the net due to the setanta problem!!!!.
  22. This is shaping up to be a classic, benchmark games, we passed the Liverpool test with excellent marks and a full 3 points away, we came out strong to the new kids on the block in Manchester City, but for a momentary lapse in concentration we may have had the 3 point there, deservedly so IMO. Now we take on Chelsea, for me the Premiership title will be decided between Cheslea or Man Utd, this is the big one.
  23. Watching the lads at training camp, Sky sports, as much to see if the Sky journo could achieve new highs in sounding like a complete tit, as to see how Gabbs and Milner were getting on, just shows how much work Gabby has put in over the summer on his weight training, looks a lot bigger and honed than players a good bit older than him, good ambassador for Villa in showing the kind of fitness and training as well as awareness of the subject that goes on around Aston Villa FC, that players feel that improvement is always on the agenda IMO. Back to thread, yes i think Ash will get the chance, not necessarily in the position he plays at Villa, thing to remember, we have Englands other left side just waiting to take a bow when he's right, Milner is shaping up to be a fine England player IMO, Capello should be aware of the engine Milners got on him, if not, why not, of course Gabriel Agbonlahor, may be misguided, deluded, seeing something that may not be there, whatever, i just can't help but think that sometime soon Gabby will turn that notch a tad further and unlock the potential and ability he really has IMO.
  24. Great game, very good result, cold light of morning you always have a kind of instinctive contemplation on how you feel about the previous days result, it was good.
