  1. Parking is fine if you get their early. Plenty of streets to park down. as you come Of the A38 and the ground is on your right, turn right at the round about and down that main road cars park on the pavement/grass. The official car park is right on that road, dont know the price but you shouldn't have much trouble getting in their otherwise like i said, plenty of streets to park down.
  2. turn right out of the train station and head down the road. On your right (set back a touch) is the devonshire arms (the devy) Quite large inside and has standing room outside. And its a real ale pub for those interested. A nice pub. Thats first stop. The ground is actually left then first right out of the train station then right at the end of that road. just over a mile walk id say. So the Devy is a little far away but the best of the lot. After Devy we will be moving on, probably by taxi (around £3.50) to around the ground. Theres a pub outside the main entrance on the corner which will probably be full of Villa but i have no experience of that pub. As you come out of the away end and you turn left. Follow that road for 5 mins and there is a big pub on the left. Lots of standing room outside and Mcdonalds next to it. Another nice pub which is very historic is the Wetmore Whistle. Further and out of the way for travelling villa fans (probably a good 20 minute walk) I live in the area hence my more than average knowledge for an away day!
  3. That was his last home game (as very evident by his actions after the final whistle). He is one of the high earners and will be one of the first to go to bring the wage bill down (O'neil previously tried to offload him for the same reason) Shame as he is the best centre half at the club
  4. wake up and smell the coffee.
  5. what an absolute disgrace. Martin blatantly didn't want to leave; he was pushed. I fear the revelations that may emerge in the next couple of days are going to be even more damning and damaging for the club. By doing this 5 days before the first match of a new campaign is like shooting the pilots on a plane as there about to land. I don't know what you, or the board are expecting this season, but i can tell you its not going to be going anywhere near as good as previous years both on and off the pitch. The question has to be raised, What are the boards intentions for the club? while undoubtedly you have done allot of good hard work for the club; you may have undone all that in one silly move. Is Randy trying to recuperate his money/loan? Theres always been an underlying doubt since Randy took over with what his intentions actually were; and now more then ever is the greatest inclination that his intentions are not what the fans would believe. At least in the Doug Ellis days we knew where we stood.
  6. the dj and music was for those that stopped to watch the game in the club; of whom i believe got took to a room downstairs which is where they checked for tickets. As for stopping open; i was very tempted to - and still am thinking about going through paypal to get money back as it was false advertisement to say that the club was going to be open after the match and as such the tickets were sold on the wrong grounds etc etc. The pub wasnt closed down; there was no trouble, thanks to the local cops we found out that the club NEVER opens up after a match. anyhow apart from that it wasnt too bad in there; the plus point is its right next to the ground etc. There was food in there not alot though; drinks were actually quite decent, and you can easily sneak your own cans in. Atmosphere was very disapointing i must say before the game (upstairs)
