    Its shite, the same 2-3 teams will dominate from now until eternity, with the other usual 5 or 6 hogging or floating around the European positions. I imagine its fantastic if you are a Chelsea or Manchester City fan but for the rest of us its **** crap knowing the best you can hope for every year is 8th.

    Should never have left Sunderland. Seriously though I don't understand why it has all gone wrong for him, although the lack of goals in the side overall is evidence that perhaps the problem is supplying the strikers, not to the forwards themselves. When Young and Downing were constantly whipping balls into the box Bent's eyes would have lit up, once he was deprived of that he was always going to struggle. His problem is that he contributes absolutely nothing to the team other than goals, he doesn't get involved in build up play, or provide assists. He is anonymous for 95% of a game then pops up with a goal.

    Clearly he doesn't have much of a clue about English football, emphasised by the embarrassing appointment of Alex McLeish as manager. Unfortunately for us he seems to be the model that Ellis Short is trying to follow at Sunderland: do the bare minimum to make sure that the club remains in the Premier League. It will catch up with us sooner or later and we will be relegated.

    Surely he must've realised it would have been nigh on impossible to give 100% to both Villa and Ireland when he took the job on?
