Dash Cams.... Who's got one? Looking at buying one but need some advice on brands and features and all that stuff.
I have one in the work van and also in my own car. It is this one;
https://www.amazon.co.uk/PRANCE-Novatek-Dashcamera-Recorder-G-sensor/dp/B00IPDDAME
Order the option with the 32gb card for £49.99 if you're going to get it. It's a good dash cam, nice wide angle, over rights footage itself every 5 hours or so and starts as soon as you start the engine. Nice and simple.

This commentator....
"It's a 3-1 victory as far as Middlesbrough are concerned..."
So was it a different score as far as Villa were concerned?

Thing is, Kris Commons looked like the best player in that division. Scott Sinclair will be great for them. It's a poor league though and now Celtic don't even play good European football so it's a retirement home for players who haven't kicked on. Shows the lack of ambition on his part if he goes there.

Good appointment for Sunderland and very quickly too. I think they'll be out of the dog fight next year for the first time in god knows how long!

Unfortunately the reason their religion gets mentioned is because these murderers are doing their terror in the name of Islam, in support for an Islamic caliphate. They are repeatedly killing people directly for not being Muslims, not being able to recite the Koran. It is Islamic terrorism.
Being careful, it is not true to say they are nothing to do with Islam. They are and that's a problem. However somehow blaming, as you say, 1.6 billion peaceful Muslims for the deeds of others is totally wrong.
One thing I would add to that is that they kill a hell of a lot of Muslims too. We are all united against ISIS and any terrorist organisation.

Equally, its no good saying that they aren't Muslims, because that will not solve the problem. I've no idea what will solve the problem by the way, but education is always a good starting point, and that means looking at the different interpretations of the religion and why some crazy words removed follow an extremely violent form of it.
They may be in a very very small minority but isis are muslims who claim to be fighting in the name of islam, they may not represent the vast majority of Muslims but I'm not sure how helpful it is to simply say 'they aren't true muslims'
Why would be unhelpful? They clearly don't represent 1.6 billion other people. You cannot label innocent people in the same group as terrorists, it's just wrong. I think this kind of attitude to blame Islam (not accusing you directly of this) is very dangerous - the more you alienate people the more they'll rebel - perhaps exactly what Isis would want!

We work on patterns as a species, even if pure logic suggests the pattern is flawed. Unfortunately the narrative, the pattern, has become that large acts of violence committed by Muslim men has a distinct chance of being terrorism. The downside of that thinking is that it means more often than not a Muslim man cannot commit an act of violence for a reason other than his faith. Which obviously isn't the case.
As for the German wings comparison. No that wasn't terrorism. Terrorism is about the why. Why did someone do this thing. If it was to make a political point, if the aim was to use that violence to scare people into acting differently in line with your political point, that's terrorism. It subsequently turned out that the man had no political motivation in doing such a heinous thing, but did have a history of depression. So it's not terrorism.
Had he been Muslim maybe the immediate conclusion was to look for terrorist intent, because of the pattern. On digging that would have been diminished though if the intent wasn't there like in the actual case. A comparison can be drawn with the recent Egypt flight, terrorism was considered but as they've struggled to find intent or further evidence (of anything, really) that's died away. And that flight had a few Muslims on it.
All fair points. Just very saddening how Muslims who have nothing to do with it have their name dragged through the dirt because of others. Heck, why does their religion even have to be mentioned in reports? You never read the headlines "Christian man commits murder". The media don't help. ISIS are not true Muslims and they do not represent other Muslims. There are 1.6 billion Muslims on earth so we all have to work together for peace - Muslims WANT peace too. Cheap stabs in the media and people treating Muslims with contempt is so counter productive it irritates me immensely.
I just wish we as humans could be work together, share food and water with everyone and stop having wars. We can't go on like this.

These attacks all over the world are very sad and wrong.
The thing that bothers me is that acts are reported as being terrorist as soon as a Muslim is involved. What about that German Wings flight a year or two back, wasn't that terrorism? It was simply reported as suicide by a nut job - where is the line though? Absolutely guaranteed if the pilot of that plane was a Muslim the reporting would have been completely different.
Also I feel Media Coverage is poor - we get loads of what is going on in Nice but hear little about what happens in say Baghdad.
The way events are reported using different language and the levels of coverage create a perception amongst many that Muslims are to blame. I'm currently in Devon to visit family and my brother tells me of the crap he hears at work "kill em all" "bomb the bastards" etc. A lot of people sadly can't think for themselves and take the media reporting as the truth.
In my opinion this creates a negative cycle that constantly repeats.

What an embarrassment to lose to "Lincoln Red Imps" who are probably not as good as actual Lincoln in the Conference. Scottish football is absolutely dreadful.

Hamilton is a man on a mission. I think he has hit a purple patch and could see him winning another couple in a row. I don't like Rosberg, even more so after last week. It's his attitude that gets me.

How do you pronounce scone? I'm in the "sc-own" club. People who say "sc-onn" need a bloody good slap!

I hate gardening but I've found out that I hated the tools at my disposal more. I've gone from a mower that is corded, very weak and with a crap blade to a Mountfield Petrol mower. It is an absolute beast and I'm so chuffed with it - it saves me so much time. Mowing is now quicker because this one is just simply more powerful, it collects grass (massive win) and I don't have to mess around with cords. Plus it's quit fun firing up the engine (god I need to get out more).
Since this I've decided to invest in much better equipment for the garden and for stuff indoors - notably a Miele Hoover. Now I can spend my saved time reading through Villatalk more. Hashtag winning.
If only me from 10 years ago could read this, I'd have disowned myself on how boring I've become.

I'm not sure he's fitter, but if he retains some of that bulk, he'll be harder to deal with physically, which can't hurt. I'm sure he won't be as quick as he was before so he'll have to adjust his game. Stan reads the game very well, so if he can take the ball, shrug off a tackle and quickly start an attack, I see no reason why he can't emulate someone like Schweinsteiger. Judging by that one particular photo though, he is really not in great shape. But that's what these game are for, go on, Stan!
I meant in comparison to say a year ago. I agree right now compared to other players he isn't in as good shape but after all this training and playing games he can only get leaner!

He looks so much fitter and stronger. What a transformation!

What if we did a real life version of Football Manager editor and registered all the best players to Villa on £50 a week? Just edit the FA documents?

Pleased that RDM can speak multiple languages properly - I bet this was what is was like with Sherwood and Crespo at Bodymoor Heath. Sherwood is Basil Fawlty, Crespo is Manuel and Sybelle at the end is is Randy Lerner - "why did you hire him?" "because he is cheap and keen to learn!"

I'm pleased that by July 9th so much has happened. New owner, new board, new manager, new coaching staff and 3 new players. We would've all taken that 2 or 3 months ago wouldn't we?
RDM is settling in and assessing the squad. Every day that passes gives him more insight into our strengths and weaknesses across the first team, u21 and recalled loan players.
I expect we will make more signings for sure but so far very pleased.

I said on another thread that Benteke should go out on loan to Palace then sign for us when we are back for 2017/18.

I think Benteke should go out on loan somewhere for a season, even if it was Palace. A season of game time in the Premier League (or another top division) is what he needs. Then he can rejoin us for 2017/18 when we are back in the Premier League.

Yes, consistency over a season of football please. Too many players get signed on the back of crucial tournament goals, against poor defending.
Done it on the big stage again tonight. Belgium may not have had first choice defenders but they still have Alderweireld playing (first choice) and Danayer who played the season for Galatasaray on loan from citeh - so not a crap player by any means.
HRK brings the kind of spirit we've been lacking on a free transfer I think it would be a good fit for HRK and AVFC.

All those saying they didn't think Robson-Kanu was good enough for us still think the same?

I think that would only leave us with Westwood, Gardner and Lyden. Certainly need another one or two!
