Why do people think we aren't going to do well? We have a better team than Boro, sha, Baggies, everton and pompey. Just because pompey have gone mad in the transfer market doesn't mean they will pick up. They have virtually changed the entire playing squad, this means they need to gel. They still have a shocking defence. Our first 11 is actually pretty decent and mid-table. Once we have played chelsea every home game from now on is winnable and there is a 7 point gap from the relegation zone, and sha still have to play spurs, arsenal and chelsea.

Pompey have bought in average players, just because they have spent doesn't mean they are any better off. All these players haven't played together, some have come from foreign legaues and aren;t used to the PL. Their defence is shocking and I'd be very suprised if they stay up. Ditto small heath who haven't really improved the squad in any meaningful way.

I agree. If small heath and liverpool were wiped off the face of the earth I would die a happy man. I couldn't care less about Man U, they are on a steady slide now anyway.

The Comers aren't stupid. Why pay over the odds for a business that has made a loss for a few`years running, and not a small loss at that!

I hate everything about Liverpool (the club not the city). Everything, from Steven 'over rated' Gerard to Lawrensen/Hansen, to 'Jammy bastard Champions of Europe' to Egghead Benitez. Arsenal at least try and play good football, and yes Newcastle are pretty high up on the list because the media seem to think they are a big club.

Problem for us is that if the squad situation doesn't change for next season, we could well get relegated. The figures show we have very little money to spend on players and it has been made clear even selling players won't generate the cash required, as it will probably go to pay off the over draft. We will be odds on to get relegated next season I reckon if things don't change drastically.

The accounts really paint a damning picture of Ellis' running of the club. Before it was amortisation, apparantly that was done and dusted, unless we are still paying Alpay's and Balaban's salaries. Gates are down, TV revenue isn't yet but it will next season, We don't have any 'star' players who we can sell for big money. Even Davis would fetch 3 million max. The whole club needs a complete makeover, major plastic surgery etc etc. And FWIW I don't think a single member of the current board, including Stride who was around before Ellis, should stay. Ellis' position should be an honorary one at best which means all he gets is the nice directors seat at VP and thats it.
