  1. So u think those players are good value at those prices
  2. That it is not a buyer's market. The selling clubs are doing well this window.
  3. I agree, there are always bargains to be found but they are very difficult to make happen. That is where Lange will earn his salary. Hopefully, Emi, Bailey and Ings will prove to be bargains at their price
  4. I know I post under an alias but by the sounds of you think the real me will fit right into the Villa first XI. Okay, I am not 3ft 6, ginger but I do have a micropenis and I reckon I would do a job for Villa
  5. Not good enough and completely overrated. He will be with the Blades in the Championship next season
  6. A buyers market. I don't think so... Man City paid 100m for Jack Man City couldn't buy Kane for 120m Real have offered 145m for Mbappe and in 6 months time they could sign a contract for him to join next June for free Ben White for 50m Remsdale for 24m + 6m addons Messi 25m sign on and 25m a year for a so called free transfer Lukaku for 97.5m
  7. We don't want to be seen as mugs. Maybe a half pack of SpaceRaiders
  8. I appreciate that it is very easy to forget as it is difficult to believe but you can add 35m for Danny Drinkwater to that list
  9. Why? It is not about the money spent, it is the quality of the players we get in. Also, we sold a single player for 100m, I think that is the 6th biggest transfer fee ever, that is a lot of cash to spend and for it to be considered completely unacceptable.
  10. Lange would deserve a serious pay rise if he gets 15m for El Ghazi
  11. I am not convinced by JWP. Great at set pieces but I don't think he would be much of an upgrade. Although Sarr has gone to Spurs he is back on loan to Metz for a year so he wouldn't have improved us. Sissoko, a 32 year old that can't get in the Spurs team on very high wages would be a step back imo. Bissouma is one player I would want but I expect Brighton would want more than the 50m they got for White. He is class and would be a really good player for us
  12. But shouldn't we be planning for an injury / suspension crisis. We only need to have 2 players out from our back 4 and we are then looking very weak
  13. William Carvalho is apparently in discussions with Norwich. He is only 29. He could do a job for us
  14. Our best signings in the Championship where probably ones which only cost a few mil like Conor and McGinn or loans like Tammy and Mingsy. Even Whelan was a decent buy. The big signings were utter disasters like McCormack and Hogan. Exactly, Jedi was a good buy for very little too. We also had out recurring transfer window screw up on a bad goal keeper
  15. I think Houirhane will be relatively easy to move to the Championship, it will be late in the window and it will be down to what % of his wages we will pay. I can't see why we would move Guilbert on. We need backup for Cash with Elmo having left
  16. We didn't really. We spent quite heavily but a lot of the spend was a disaster and didn't contribute to our Championship side
  17. If their asking price is not what the club values the player at then they are not the right players.
  18. PSG look to be struggling to hold on to Mbappe. I think all clubs are selling clubs for one reason or another
  19. 4 were penalties last season, they wont cost us anything to replace as we have Ings and others that can take pens. I would think we could replace and upgrade him for 25m/30m and I would be confident that the replacement would score the goals that we lose from selling El Ghazi
  20. Or maybe Purslow et al wanted to sell Grealish for 100m and put the release clause in the contract so that they could justify accepting the offer in front of the fans. The bids that went in for ESR and JWP were very low ball. Could it be that Purslow wanted to bid for them and then let other clubs see that we only upped our bid by a small amount, which again we knew would be refused and then we walked away and stopped bidding. This would show others that when AVFC reaches the price we believe a player is worth that we will not go any further and walk. This would put us in a good position for future negotiations, particularly as other clubs know we just sold Jack for 100m. Perhaps it is not the club and the management that are the naive ones.
  21. If we got a bid in for ElGhazi I would expect that he would be gone
  22. They will be available for work 24*7 for the duration of the transfer window.
