Do we know how much we’ll make as a club from hosting the Euros? How does it work? Percentage of ticket costs, flat fee per game/tournament, or percentage of the matchday income? Any ideas?

His success rate of senior signings was very poor, in my opinion. He might well have done some good work behind the scenes, but a huge amount of money was wasted during his tenure, and the two most successful signings of his spell were Martinez and Watkins - insisted upon by Smith and Cutler.
The fact he was desperate to spend £25m on Sarr last August, on top of the £13m spent on Dendoncker sums his talent spotting up to me.
Best of luck, Johan, I hope you carry on in the same way for Tottenham.

The female commentators and pundits have more to prove as well, so they often come across as having done more research.
It’s not just about understanding the patterns of play, it’s about doing the boring work knowing who has been in form, who’s been injured, who’s in favour with the manager, who the fans like, etc. Nothing worse than a commentator who doesn’t know this stuff and just makes it up on the fly.
I’m sure I read that Richards was notorious for doing the bare minimum research, and relies on his personality to hide it.
The vast majority of women who present and analyse are at least competent, and usually really good. The only one I dislike, and she’s been mentioned on here before is Aluko. Even Karen Carney, despite being a Bluenose is really knowledgable, and insightful. And I’m sure it comes down to as you and a few others have said, they need to work harder to prove their worth due to Neanderthal gammons who don’t like to listen to women.
I mean who would you rather listen to, Alex Scott or Danny Murphy?

Pretty sure Brentford have confirmed their current kit is lasting two seasons.
Do we know if we’ve managed to get a solution for this sweat kit for our games today?

I'm certain if Buendia was fit he'd have bagged a couple more already this season. We've not got anyone threading those balls through the middle right now. Our forwards get stifled when we can't get down the wings.
I'm sure Unai will sort that and he'll start bagging even more regularly.
In the last two league home games he’s had through balls from Tielemans (won a penalty) and McGinn (missed, Douglas scored the rebound). Watkins and Buendia never seemed to click, so I’m not sure I entirely agree with this view.

Some absolute nonsense on this page. You can not want Grealish back because you haven’t forgiven him for leaving, but to say he wouldn’t be the best player in our team, or even get in to our team is absolute biased nonsense I’m afraid.
Anyway, to get back on topic, Douglas is the man, and I’m concerned that he’s not starting tonight!

Worse track record than Suso on hindsight. Fact he was pushing so hard for Sarr was a big concern for me. I’ve no qualms of him leaving the club, especially to Spurs.

Counted less than 200 remaining tickets on the website. Good going that, considering where we were a few days ago!

Called back up to England squad.- 5

Just had a look quick look, and it looks as though there’s just under 900 left, but just over 300 of those are in the Upper Holte.
I can’t make it unfortunately, as I’m at a wedding in Italy in the morning. Absolutely gutted.
Do us proud, lads!

Three game suspensions when it’s only a 22 game league is nonsensical.

I’ve been thinking about it, and I’m not sure that a points deduction is enough of a deterrent. Say you give Everton a six point deduction, that would be fair in this instance. However would that six points deduction be fair to give to Man City (as an example)? No, as they’d have gained far more of an advantage from breaking FFP than the punishment. For Everton, six points would mean potential relegation, Man City would mean maybe coming second rather than first.
So I think it needs to be a two pronged punishment, points deduction and transfer ban. Maybe three points and two windows ban? Otherwise taking the punishment would be worth breaking the rules for. In my opinion, anyway.
Either way, the Premier League need to be strict with Everton, otherwise it becomes meaningless.

Yeah I imagine we won’t risk him until Digne is suspended, which is probably the first game after the international break.
I’d rather he was fully fit before we played him, can’t afford to risk having him out for a prolonged period.

He was the best player on the pitch in his full debut against Man Utd. If we judged all players on how they played at St James’s Park, well, not many Villa players would come out with much credit.
I’m more convinced than ever that he’ll be a very good Premier League player.

Pass a drugs test?

There is zero chance that Milan will stump the money required to buy him. And Chelsea won’t see him as the right profile to sign either.

Saved a penalty in the first half. -
I mean he was quite comfortably our best player yesterday, but you do you.

I know this is going to be an extremely unpopular opinion. But I’m all for them having more kick off times to show more games. I don’t think it’ll be long before every game is televised live, at a separate time so that there’s no Premier League clashes. You could have one game on a Friday and Monday evening, and then four each on Saturday and Sunday. Bring it on, I say.

Couple of mine have been suggested already, so I’ve got just one new one:
Penalties are weighted too heavily to the attacker. My rule would be that the keeper can leave his line as soon as the penalty taker has started his run up. Would most likely put an end to all these nonsense run ups and make it fairer.

The Chris Woakes of the Villa team.
Thought he was excellent when he came on. Competition for places can hopefully bring the best out of him.
-
Yeah I noticed that, too. It would work well if we had a Moreno or Digne on the right, but Cash isn’t the right profile of player there. I do feel it hampered McGinn’s game, too.
-
West Brom released him, so we didn’t pay them a fee.
They would be owed a small percentage of any fee, but it would be probably about 5% maximum.

Butter on beans on toast makes it too rich, and not enough about the beans.
The only time I have butter is when making mash.
I think in the laws of VT this is probably akin to a war crime. See you in Strasbourg!
